The construction company HTB will be responsible for executing the works in the two regional blocks, through a contract closed with CCR.
One of the highlight interventions will be at the Navegantes Airport in Santa Catarina.
A new terminal will be built in a larger area, taking into account possible future expansions.
This initiative represents a strategic investment by CCR, aiming to meet the growing demand for airport services in the region.
Another airport on the list for improvements is Pampulha Airport in Belo Horizonte.
With the goal of addressing the recurring flooding issue in the area, macro-drainage interventions will be carried out.
The investment needed for this work is estimated at R$ 20 million, and its completion is expected in the first quarter of next year.
With the improvements, CCR plans to diversify the terminal’s operations, including regional flights in its scope of services.
Additionally, CCR is evaluating potential investment opportunities in other airport terminals.
Goiânia Airport is one of them, which could undergo works to develop its cargo sector and boost its logistics infrastructure.
Other airports such as Foz do Iguaçu in Paraná and Teresina in Piauí will also be targets for improvements, aiming to strengthen operations focused on tourism in these regions.
Expansion of Airport Businesses Boosts Group’s Revenue
In recent years, the airport sector has become a significant area within the CCR group.
In addition to the 15 terminals recently acquired, the company also obtained the concession for Confins Airport in Minas Gerais, in partnership with Zurich Airport and Infraero.
Additionally, CCR has expanded its businesses beyond Brazilian borders, gaining the management of three international terminals: Quito in Ecuador; Juan Santa Maria in Costa Rica; and Curaçao in the Dutch Antilles.
This expansion resulted in a net revenue of R$ 1.85 billion in 2022, representing 10% of the group’s total revenue.
With these robust investments and the vision to expand its presence in the main airports in the country, CCR reaffirms its commitment to providing quality airport services, contributing to the development of the sector and boosting tourism and commerce in the regions where it operates.
