According to the governor, these projects are encouraged, and the state aims to expedite their implementation. Paraíba has enormous potential for wind energy. There is no doubt that the Northeast will be the region that will produce the most green hydrogen.

The government has been paying greater attention to this area of renewable energies. These projects should also benefit society with social actions that improve the quality of life for the population. Azevêdo highlights that he recently visited China, where several partnerships were established with the government of Paraíba.

In Paraíba, the company will implement the Serra da Palmeira Wind Complex. The company is already in the final stages of preparation to begin construction. It will be a significant moment, as CTG is about to complete 10 years in the country and seeks to launch the project as a way to celebrate this milestone.

The Serra da Palmeira wind project, which will create thousands of jobs, is located in the city of Picuí and involves an investment of R$ 3.7 billion. The wind farm will feature 36 wind turbines in Picuí, 33 in Nova Palmeira, 25 in Pedra Lavrada, 10 in São Vicente do Seridó, and 4 in Baraúna.

According to Lucas Sanches, Director of Renewable Engineering, this project is the largest the company will build outside of China. It has a significant economic impact on the state, creating around one thousand jobs.

The company is generating social actions in the region and creating benefits for local communities. In total, there will be R$ 18 million in social investment and R$ 20 million in environmental and archaeological programs. Wind Energy in Paraíba

Paraíba, which is a Unit of the Federation of relatively small dimensions, imports about 60% of the energy it consumes, in addition to having around 90% of its generation capacity tied to thermal sources, greatly distancing the state from the rest of the country.

Paraíba presents excellent geographical conditions for the installation of wind farms. In addition to favorable wind conditions, the state has several areas with suitable terrain for wind power developments.
