Largest Battery Manufacturer in South America, Moura Group Will Transform Its Energy Matrix to Fully Renewable
In a signed agreement with Casa dos Ventos Renewable Energies, Moura Group intends to become a self-producer of renewable energy. Starting in 2022, the battery manufacturer will have wind energy supplied by the Rio do Vento complex, located in Rio Grande do Norte.

The agreement calls for Moura to participate as a partner in the wind farm, qualifying as a self-producer and will result in 504 MW to meet the total energy consumption of the Pernambucan company.
According to Moura, the company will avoid the emission of 60,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere with the use of clean energy, equivalent to the carbon captured by planting 350,000 trees.

Casa dos Ventos has already entered into several long-term agreements for the supply of wind energy to companies such as Vulcabras Azaleia, mining company Anglo American, and now, battery manufacturer Moura. Additionally, the company has signed a contract with Danish company Vestas for the supply of wind turbines in Bahia.
