Produced in Iracemápolis (SP), the new Chinese midsize pickup bets on generous space, cutting-edge technology, and a complete equipment list to compete with Hilux, Ranger, and S10.
GWM took an important step in the Brazilian market by launching the Poer P30, its midsize pickup produced at the Iracemápolis (SP) factory. The model arrived after delays in the schedule and was presented with a turbo diesel engine, an extensive list of equipment, and competitive prices to face established rivals such as Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, and Chevrolet S10.
Prices and Versions
During the pre-sale period, the GWM Poer P30 was priced at R$ 220,000 for the Trail version and R$ 240,000 for the Exclusive version. However, since September 20, the prices have been adjusted by R$ 20,000. Thus, the new prices are defined as:
- GWM Poer P30 Trail: R$ 240,000
- GWM Poer P30 Exclusive: R$ 260,000
The brand has already confirmed that in 2026 it will launch a third configuration, simpler and work-oriented, with reduced equipment.

Engine and Consumption
Although there is a plug-in hybrid set in the Asian market, GWM decided to offer in Brazil only the turbo diesel engine. It features a 2.4 with 184 hp of power and 48.9 kgfm of torque, paired with ZF’s nine-speed automatic transmission.
With this setup, the Poer P30 is less powerful than its main rivals, all with over 200 hp. The Hilux, until now the least powerful among the leaders, delivers 204 hp.
In terms of consumption, the pickup records 9.5 km/l in the city and 10.6 km/l on the highway, according to Inmetro data. Thus, it remains within the segment’s average.
Design and Dimensions
For the Brazilian market, GWM made changes compared to the Asian version. The grille has been redesigned, now smaller with chrome details (varying by version). Moreover, the headlights and taillights are LED, and the wheels range from 18 inches (Trail) to 19” (Exclusive).
The pickup adopts body-on-frame construction, standard in the segment, with conventional 4×4 drive, a propeller shaft, and a locking rear differential.
In terms of measurements, the Poer P30 is 5.41 m long, 1.95 m high, 1.88 m wide, and has a wheelbase of 3.23 m. Compared to the Hilux, it is 9 cm longer and has a 15 cm longer wheelbase, ensuring more interior space.
In the bed, the payload capacity is 1,010 kg, surpassing the Hilux (1,000 kg) but falling short of the S10 (1,044 kg) and the Ranger (1,023 kg). The volume is 1,248 liters.
Equipment and Technology
One of the main differentiators of the Poer P30 is its equipment list, placing the model among the most complete in the segment. The multimedia center features a floating 14.6” screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, in addition to the digital dashboard.
In the top-of-the-line version, the highlight is the ADAS Level 2 package, which includes automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, among other driver assistance features.
