Heineken acquired the land at the end of last year through bidding and is said to have bought it from an area of Precon Engenharia, negotiating others nearby, all in the vicinity of the location that would house Fashion City Brasil – a mega fashion development that ultimately did not move forward.
The factory will be Heineken’s 16th in Brazil. “The location is strategic for the company, as the Southeast region is extremely important for the growth of premium and mainstream categories. The Heineken Group believes in Brazil and continues to invest to ensure that its products reach all consumers and clients throughout the country,” points out Maurício Giamellaro, president of the Heineken Group in Brazil, in the text forwarded by the Executive.

After closing a deal with global non-alcoholic beverage leader Coca Cola, starting in April, the brewery Heineken began distributing the Bonafont water brand, from Danone, in the South and Southeast regions of Brazil. Together, the two aim, of course, to gain market share.
For the brewery, the partnership brings non-alcoholic beverages and increases the menu offered to clients. For Danone, it is an opportunity to increase the presence of Bonafont outside São Paulo. According to Danone, Bonafont is the leader in the most populous state in the country.
Coca Cola and Heineken Make Agreement and Competition with Ambev Is Expected to Intensify Among the Beverage Giants
Coca Cola announced an agreement with Heineken to remodel its distribution network in Brazil, putting the multinational Ambev, the largest beverage company in the world, in a tight spot.
The agreement between the Heineken Group and the Coca-Cola distribution system in Brazil ends an impasse that has lasted since the purchase of Brasil Kirin by the Dutch brewery in 2017.
The partnership between giants Heineken and Coca Cola will come into effect in mid this year and will be valid until 2026, but there is a possibility that it will be extended for another five years.
