Model Revealed in November 2025 Combines 157HP Engine, Advanced Electronics, and Travel Ergonomics to Dominate the Sport-Touring Segment.

The Honda Officially Unveiled on November 4, 2025, during the International Motorcycle Show in Milan (EICMA 2025), in Italy, the CB1000 GT. This new sport-touring motorcycle combines the sporty DNA of the Hornet 1000 with the comfort and technology of a road bike, creating a unique blend of performance and sophistication.

With a robust design, wide fairings, and aerodynamic lines, the model marks a new era for Honda in sport touring. Thus, it delivers superbike power with ergonomic and comfortable posture, ideal for long trips.

1000cc Engine with a Sporty Soul

The CB1000 GT uses the 1000cc inline four-cylinder engine from the Hornet 1000, known for its balanced performance and mechanical reliability. According to Honda Motor Company, the engine features double overhead camshaft (DOHC), liquid cooling, and Throttle-by-Wire electronic acceleration, which ensures immediate and linear responses.

Although the company has not yet confirmed the exact horsepower, the numbers from the European Hornet 1000 serve as a reference. It achieves 157HP at 11,000 RPM and 10.7 kgf·m of torque at 9,000 RPM, according to data published by Motor1 magazine in October 2025. The recalibrated electronic injection and optimized throttle make riding smoother and less tiring.

Additionally, the six-speed transmission offers short and precise shifts, providing greater control and agility on any terrain.

Balance Between Power and Comfort

Created under the concept “High Performance Tourer – Going Faster and Further with Comfort”, the CB1000 GT aims to combine excitement and practicality on the road. The diamond-type steel chassis of the Hornet received a reinforced subframe, redesigned seat, and exclusive bodywork, improving ergonomics and stability.

The five-level adjustable windshield, with a vertical travel of 81 mm, enhances aerodynamics and reduces wind impact. The elevated and progressive suspensions also increase stability and absorb irregularities, ensuring safety and comfort.

According to Honda Global, the project was designed to make every trip enjoyable, while maintaining the sporty feel typical of naked bikes.

Embedded Technology and Premium Features

The CB1000 GT comes equipped with the Showa EERA (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) electronic suspension system, which automatically adjusts damping according to speed, weight, and road type. Control is managed by inertial sensors (IMU) and the electronic control unit (ECU), which work in synchrony to deliver maximum performance.

The model also features five riding modesSport, Normal, Rain, Tour, and Customized — allowing for complete adaptation to road conditions. Additionally, the bidirectional quickshifter eliminates the constant use of the clutch, making shifts quicker and lighter.

The color TFT digital panel includes Bluetooth and navigation mirroring, ensuring smartphone integration and voice commands. Another highlight is the original Honda accessories, such as saddlebags, top case, premium seats, and extended windshields, which enhance travel capacity.

Markets and Arrival Forecast

The Honda Motor Europe announced that the CB1000 GT will arrive in Europe, Japan, Asia, and Oceania by 2025. Meanwhile, Honda South America is assessing the launch in Brazil for 2026, depending on regional demand.

With a powerful engine, modern design, and cutting-edge technology, the CB1000 GT 2025 promises to redefine the concept of sport-touring bike. Thus, it combines comfort, performance, and innovation in one package.

And you, do you believe the CB1000 GT 2025 will be the most desired touring bike of the next decade and inherit the legendary legacy of the Hornet?
