Set to launch this year, the Tiggo 8 Pro, Chery’s largest SUV, features a unique design and will be the brand’s first hybrid. The hybrid car from Chery has a redesigned front, sharper headlights, and a hexagonal grille with various chrome elements at the bottom. The interior has a more refined finish than the version currently sold in Brazil.
The SUV sold in China combines a 1.5 turbo combustion engine producing 156 hp with two electric motors, one on each axle. Equipped with all-wheel drive, Chery claims that the hybrid Tiggo 8 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds. Even more surprising is the promised fuel consumption: over 100 km/l.

The largest vehicle manufacturer in the world, Volkswagen decided not to compete with the Jeep Commander and removed the Tiguan Allspace from the lineup in Brazil shortly after the competitor’s arrival. However, the competition will be inevitable this year, as the updated version of VW’s model will arrive imported from Mexico.
The new hybrid version from the German multinational boasts 245 hp and 40.8 kgfm of torque. The combined torque comes from a 1.4 turbo gasoline engine producing 150 hp, which works in conjunction with an electric motor producing 116 hp. They are managed by a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 9.2 kWh battery allows the Tiguan to travel 49 km solely on electricity.

Honda wants to bring to Brazil the hybrid version of the SUV. The HR-V would be the second of three electrified vehicles promised by the Japanese manufacturer by 2023.
The car that combines combustion and electric engines shares its modern mechanical set with the Accord. It features a 1.5 aspirated i-VTEC gasoline engine with four cylinders, producing 131 hp and 25.8 kgfm at 4,500 rpm along with two electric motors. One drives the car, and the other generates energy.
The Japanese multinational has not yet disclosed the combined power of the engines, but regarding fuel consumption, according to the manufacturer, the hybrid car is capable of achieving 17.2 km per liter of gasoline.

The new generation of the Tucson is expected to launch in Brazil as early as 2022. It debuts the brand’s new visual identity, characterized mainly by headlights integrated into the grille, also adopted in the Creta sold abroad.
In addition to the combustion versions, the Tucson will be offered in a hybrid variant, which combines a 1.6 turbo combustion engine with a 60 hp electric motor to deliver 230 hp and 35.7 kgfm.

The luxurious Jaguar F-Pace PHEV is available on the Brazilian manufacturer’s website. The plug-in hybrid version will be positioned just below the sporty SVR. This means its price will be above R$ 537,950 for the R-Dynamic SE, but below R$ 740,950 for the SVR.
The powerful and luxurious hybrid car from Jaguar combines a 2.0 gasoline engine with 296 hp with another electric motor, producing 141 hp. In electric mode, it is possible to drive up to 59 km. The 17.1 kWh battery takes about 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 80% at a company charging station.
Meet the New Jeep Compass Hybrid, Better and More Economical Than the Diesel Model!
Compass and Renegade hybrids were promised by Jeep for 2020. Due to the pandemic and supply chain issues, plans have been postponed, and the arrival of the pair is expected to occur only in 2022.
The first to be launched is the Compass. It combines the already known 1.3 turbo engine – derived from the national Firefly – with an electric motor, installed on the rear axle. This allows Jeep to achieve all-wheel drive, branded by the company as 4xe.
There are two power levels. In the mid-range version, it produces 190 hp. The top-of-the-line version reaches 240 hp and promises excellent performance, especially for a mid-size SUV. In both cases, the hybrid Compass can travel around 50 km using only the electric motor.

Kia is expanding its line of electric cars in Brazil and is launching this year, the Niro, which had its new generation revealed in South Korea. The new hybrid car from Kia will be offered in different levels of electrification: hybrid, plug-in hybrid (which can be charged from a socket or at charging stations), or electric. Specifications have not yet been confirmed. For Brazil, Kia is likely to choose between the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions.
The new generation of the Sportage, one of Kia’s best-selling cars in Brazil, arrives this year with a mild hybrid system, which promises to shake up the Jeep Compass!
The combustion engine of the Kia Sportage will be larger and more powerful. It is a 1.6 turbo gasoline engine with 179 hp, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Classe C 2022 has already been presented by Mercedes-Benz, including with prices. However, deliveries only began in January. The two available versions are equipped with systems that feature mild hybrid technology.
The hybrid car combines a 1.5 turbo combustion engine producing 204 hp and 30.6 kgfm of torque with an electric generator. In the top-of-the-line C300 version, reviewed by Autoesporte, the engine is a 2.0 turbo producing 258 hp and 40.8 kgfm. In addition, there is an electric motor to help reduce consumption by up to 10%, even though it does not drive the car.
