Through the Official Gazette (DOU), published this Monday (2/05), the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) made public the opening of applications for the complementary simplified selection process (PSS), which will select candidates for temporary jobs in two functions: that of operational census agent (ACO) and that of sub-area census coordinator for the 2022 Demographic Census.

The function of operational census agent it has attributions such as: assisting in carrying out administrative and computer work in the unit where it is located; welcome and assist IBGE employees and the general public; promote the digitization and transcription of various documents; provide the necessary technical support to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and activities, among several others set out in the public notice in the Official Gazette of the Union. In addition, the job candidate must also meet some requirements, such as the ability to understand and communicate verbally, motor skills to deal with a microcomputer and its peripherals and speed to fulfill the established tasks. There are 97 vacancies for this function, with a monthly salary of R$ 1.700,00.
the charge of subarea census coordinator IBGE, in turn, includes responsibilities such as: monitoring the work of the national and state supervisory coordination teams and executing the guidelines received; organize and answer for technical, administrative and operational activities; promote forecasting, programming, requesting and executing budgetary and financial resources; order and define the areas of action of the Municipal Census Agent and the Supervisory Census Agent; make public and respect the rules relating to the Unified Selection Processes; among others.
