Limited Edition of the Volkswagen Beetle Comes with a Four-Speed Automatic Transmission Exactly Like That Used in the Porsche Carrera 2 and Mercedes-Benz Dashboard!

Are you also passionate about the Beetle? The Milivié 1, will be the contemporary reinterpretation of the popular New Beetle and will feature Porsche transmission!

“The Milivié 1 is a car that is instantly recognizable, but it is a vehicle that has never been imagined. An iconic automobile created for the masses has completely evolved into a machine for the few. THE NEW BEETLE FOR 2023 IS ANNOUNCED!!! (THE NEWEST PROJECT BY MILIVIÉ)

The new Beetle with Porsche transmission, based on the 1303 model, will have a look very similar to the original. The classic design will be accompanied by headlights, fog lights, and LED taillights. The door handles will be flush, the mirrors will feature integrated turn signals, and the wheels will be 19 inches.

Milivié, responsible for the re-styling of the iconic Volkswagen, informs that under the hood, the revamped Beetle will have a traditional combustion engine, a 2.2-liter, 4-cylinder with dual Weber carburation. The exact power of the new Beetle has not yet been revealed, but it will have a four-speed automatic transmission exactly like that used in the Porsche Carrera 2.

Moreover, inside, the new Beetle will feature cutting-edge technology. The new Volkswagen Beetle will come equipped with two 12.3-inch screens, including the multimedia center, Mercedes-Benz dashboard, and individual seats to accommodate four passengers. And it doesn’t stop there; the car will have induction charging for cell phones, USB ports, a sound system with 9 speakers, parking sensors, and minimalist wood finishes.

Due to its mechanical set featuring a transmission inherited from the Porsche Carrera 2, the German car built on the icon of past decades will have sports performance, and consequently a premium car price!

Only 22 Units of the Iconic Volkswagen Beetle Will Be Produced Worldwide

Milivié has informed the market that the revamped Beetle will only have 22 units worldwide, meaning one for every million units produced of the model that inspired it. Due to its limited edition, the iconic German car is on pre-sale on the official website for 570,000 euros (equivalent to R$ 3.1 million at the current exchange rate).

“The Milivié 1 is a unique celebration of the most beloved vehicle in the world. The intensely detailed vehicle offers a fusion of everything the analog driver desires, combined with the seamless integration of cutting-edge technology”, explained the manufacturer.

Milivié expects to deliver the first unit by July of next year and complete the entire production by the second half of 2025.

VW Wants to Sue Chinese Manufacturer for Shamelessly Making an Electric Copy of the Iconic Beetle

The Chinese industry has not yet abandoned some old habits, and the multinational Volkswagen is not at all flattered by the electric car manufacturer ORA, which is part of the Great Wall Motors. The brand presented a clone of the Beetle at the Shanghai Auto Show. Named ORA Punk Cat, the vehicle has the same traits as the iconic car from the VW manufacturer.

It is possible to see that ORA was inspired – not to say shamelessly copied – the features of the Volkswagen Beetle in its new Punk Cat. The hood with a curved design, rounded headlights, and the design of the rear, complete with oval taillights, refer to the old Beetle.
