The free postgraduate courses offered by IFMS in partnership with UAB offer distance learning specializations in strategic areas such as teaching, social inclusion and nature conservation; registrations open until November 5th.

Applications for IF's free postgraduate courses, offered by the Brazilian Open University System (UAB), are open until November 5. There are 450 places available in three specializations focused on strategic areas of education and the environment.

For those looking to specialize without having to pay anything and with the flexibility of distance learning, this is an excellent opportunity. IFMS (Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul) offers these courses as part of a national initiative which aims to expand access to higher education, prioritizing public servants and basic education teachers, but also open to the general public, should vacancies arise.

Another chance for free specialization at IF and UAB

In partnership with UAB, IFMS is offering free and accessible postgraduate courses to anyone interested in improving their professional skills. The initiative is part of a program that combines the quality of federal education with the convenience of distance learning, allowing people from all regions to participate without having to leave their homes. In this way, the teaching system is completely online, ensuring a flexible learning experience adapted to students' routines.

These courses are ideal for professionals who want to update their knowledge in relevant areas that meet the current demands of the job market, especially in education and environmental preservation. And best of all? All this without any monthly fees, a great opportunity for those who want to grow in their career without breaking the bank.

Free postgraduate courses offered by IF and UAB

The IF is offering 450 places in three specialization courses, each focusing on a different area, but all with the same goal of providing complete and up-to-date training. Check out the available courses below:

  1. Strategies for Nature Conservation
    • Jobs: 150
    • This course aims to train professionals capable of developing and applying environmental conservation strategies, ideal for those who already work in the environmental area or wish to enter this field.
  2. Teaching in Professional and Technological Education
    • Jobs: 150
    • Aimed at education professionals, this course offers tools to improve pedagogical practices focused on professional and technological education, preparing teachers for the challenges of technical education.
  3. Education, Diversity and Social Inclusion
    • Jobs: 150
    • With the aim of training professionals to deal with issues of diversity and inclusion, this specialization is aimed at educators and professionals who wish to act in a more inclusive way in their work environments, promoting education that serves everyone.

Those specialization options were selected to serve priority and high-demand areas, especially in a context in which social inclusion and environmental preservation are increasingly relevant. In addition, the Teaching in Professional and Technological Education course is ideal for teachers seeking to develop skills focused on technical education, a growing segment in Brazil.

How the selection process works

The selection process for these free postgraduate courses will be simplified, with priority given to public servants and basic education teachers. The idea is to facilitate access for those who are already part of the education system or work in the public sector, while still providing access to the general public.

If the vacancies are not fully filled by these priority groups, they will be redistributed to the other registered candidates. The selection will be made by electronic drawing on November 12, a process that aims to ensure impartiality and transparency in the selection of students. The final result will be announced on November 18, and enrollment of those approved will take place between November 19 and 21.

Classes are scheduled to start on November 30th and will be taught through the Virtual Teaching and Learning Environment (Avea), an online platform that allows students to access content at any time, according to their availability.

Where to sign up

Registration for free IFMS postgraduate courses through the UAB System must be completed by November 5th. Interested parties can access the Candidate Page na IFMS Selection Center to register. The process is entirely online, facilitating access and allowing candidates from anywhere to register.

For those who want more information, the full notice and all the details about each course are available at the Selection Center. In addition, questions can be clarified directly by email to the Distance Education Reference Center (CREAD): cread@ifms.edu.br.
