IFCE Has Dozens of New Free Online Technical Courses in Various Areas for Students Who Are Currently Enrolled or Have Already Completed High School. There Are More Than 2,000 Opportunities!
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE) will select students for its free technical courses, and in this edition, the selection process plans to fill 2,375 vacancies in the second semester of this year. The vacancies include three modes of technical education: concomitant (simultaneous), integrated (high school integrated with technical education), and subsequent (focused on those who have already completed high school).
List of Free Courses Offered by IFCE
All those seeking to acquire quick qualifications for the job market can register for the free technical courses at IFCE. These programs are advantageous as they take less time than a degree and facilitate the attainment of the first job.
The technical courses at IFCE will be conducted in the morning, until 12 PM, afternoon, between 12 PM and 6 PM, and evening, after 6 PM. Each class will consist of 30 to 40 students. We have compiled a list of the main free courses offered by IFCE:

Check the Municipalities Covered by the Free Technical Courses
Of the total vacancies in the available free courses, 50% are for open competition and the other 50% are reserved for quotas, as mandated by Law No. 12.711/2012. Among the quota candidates, half of the group consists of individuals with a family income of up to 1.5 minimum wage. There are also quotas for black, brown, and indigenous people (PPI), public school students, and people with disabilities.
The selection process for IFCE for vacancies in free technical courses will fill spots at the campuses of Acaraú, Acopiara, Baturité, Aracati, Camocim, Canindé, Cratéus, Cedro, Crato, Iguatu, Guaramiranga, Itapipoca, Jaguaruana, Maracanaú, Juazeiro do Norte, Mombaça, Morada Nova, Paracuru, Pecém, Sobral, Quixadá, Tabuleiro do Norte, Tianguá, Tauá, Umirim, and Ubajara.
Registration for IFCE’s Free Courses
The registration period at IFCE is open from March 3 to March 19, 2023. Interested parties must only access the official website and fill out the application form. There will be no participation fee, and the selection process for the online courses will occur through the analysis of each candidate’s academic record. Thus, there is no need to worry about taking an exam.
The technical courses requiring elementary education will consider the grades in Portuguese Language, Mathematics, and Science. Meanwhile, the programs requiring high school will analyze the grades in Portuguese Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. The final result, with the names of the qualified candidates, will be published on April 14 of this year.
It is important to mention that IFCE is an institution created on December 28, 2008, through the integration of the Federal Center for Technological Education of Ceará with the Federal Agricultural Schools of Crato and Iguatu.
