The Federal Institute of Northern Minas Gerais (IFNMG) is offering an unmissable opportunity for those looking to train in the area of Renewable Energy. With 478 slots distributed across the campuses of Almenara, Araçuaí, Arinos, Diamantina, Januária, and Salinas, the free Initial and Continuing Education (FIC) course for Renewable Energy Systems Electrician is open for enrollment starting on October 4.
Participants in this course will have access to various benefits, including transportation and meals, as well as a monthly scholarship of R$ 270, provided they maintain attendance in classes. To enroll, one must have at least completed elementary education and be at least 18 years old.
If the demand for the course exceeds the number of available slots, the IFNMG will conduct an online drawing on 10/17/2023, at 3 PM, streamed live on IFNMG’s official YouTube profile. The video of the drawing will be available for later consultation.

Enrollments and Required Documentation for the Free Course
Those interested must fill out the electronic form corresponding to the campus where they wish to study. Since the course is in-person and will take place in the evening, it is important to choose the most convenient campus. Additionally, it is necessary to attach the following documents: a photo ID, CPF, and school transcript or certificate/declaration of completion of elementary education.
The IFNMG is promoting gender equality by reserving 30% of the slots for women, an increase from the previous offer which reserved 20%. Each campus has its quota of slots, with a total of 23 to 24 slots reserved for women at each one.
Specialized Training in Renewable Energy at IFNMG
The course aims to train professionals capable of sizing, supervising, specifying, installing, operating, and maintaining photovoltaic systems, following technical standards and procedures. The workload is 200 hours, to be completed over three months, with theoretical and practical classes in the laboratory, between November 2023 and February 2024.
