There are 1,140 available spots with a wide range of technical courses, including areas such as Electrotechnics, Mechanics, Biomedical Equipment, Administration, and various specializations in musical instruments, the notices No. 17/2024 and No. 18/2024 are open for enrollment for the second semester of 2024.

According to the notice, the selection of spots will be made through an electronic draw among duly registered candidates. The second notice, number 18/2024, offers 40 spots for the technical course in Musical Instrument, exclusive to the Jucurutu Campus. The selection process is aimed at those who hold a high school diploma (or equivalent) and will be carried out in a single, eliminatory and classificatory stage, with the application of a Specific Ability Test (SAT).
Exemption from the Enrollment Fee
Candidates for the technical course spots who wish to request an exemption from the enrollment fee, amounting to R$ 25.00 (twenty-five reais), can do so according to Decree No. 11,016, of March 29, 2022, published in the Official Gazette of the Union on March 30, 2022. To be eligible for the exemption, it is necessary to cumulatively fulfill the following requirements:
Provide proof of registration in the Unified Registry for Federal Government Social Programs (CadÚnico), as per Decree No. 11,016, of March 29, 2022, by indicating the Social Identification Number (NIS) assigned by CadÚnico.
Be a member of a low-income family, under the terms of Decree No. 11,016, of March 29, 2022.
To request the fee exemption, interested candidates must follow the procedures below by July 29 of this year:
- Access the Candidate Portal;
- Log in with CPF and password provided during the account creation process;
- Access the “My Applications” menu, choose the desired process, and select the “Request Exemption” button;
- Fill out the electronic form, mandatory providing the Social Identification Number (NIS) of the candidate in CadÚnico (11 digits).
The result of the exemption request will be announced starting August 1 on the Candidate Portal. If the exemption is not granted, the enrollment will only be confirmed after the payment of the fee, which must be paid by August 13.

To Enroll, Candidates Must Follow These Steps:
Enrollment will be conducted exclusively online until 11:59 PM on August 12 of this year, via the Candidate Portal in the IFRN Contest Management System (SGC). To register and enroll, it is necessary for the candidate to have an active email account. If access to the internet is not available, enrollment can be done at the nearest campus on business days, according to the operating hours specified in the notice.
Registration in the Candidate Portal:
- Access the IFRN Contest Management System (SGC);
- Create a new account, fill in the requested data, and activate the account via the link sent to the registered email.
Enrollment in the Selection Process:
- Log into the system with CPF and password;
- Select the desired contest and course offer;
- Fill in the requested data correctly and confirm the enrollment.
