Federal Institute Opens One Thousand Spots for Free Technical Courses at 10 Campuses; Online Enrollment Goes Until August 12 on the Candidate Portal.

The Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN), through its Dean’s Office of Education (Proen), announced the opening of applications for the selection process of the free technical courses at the secondary level in the subsequent mode, aimed at those who have already completed high school. The spots are for the 2024.2 academic semester, and applications must be made by August 12.

Notices and Spots at the Federal Institute

Notice 17/2024 offers a total of one thousand spots distributed among various technical courses.

The courses are offered at ten campuses of the Federal Institute: Caicó, Canguaretama, Ceará-Mirim, João Câmara, Mossoró, Natal-Central, Natal-Centro Histórico, Natal-Zona Norte, Nova Cruz, and Parnamirim.

The selection of candidates will be done by electronic lottery. Those who are initially drawn will be considered approved, while the others will be qualified to fill any remaining spots.

Notice 18/2024 is specific to the technical course in Musical Instruments, offered by the Jucurutu Campus.

This notice provides 40 spots, and the selection process will be conducted in a single stage, eliminatory and classificatory, through a Specific Skill Test (THE).

The course covers seven skills: Accordion, Vocal, Drums/Percussion, Recorder, Piano/Keyboard, Saxophone, and Guitar.

Registration Process

Step-by-Step for Registration

Registrations will be conducted exclusively online, through the Candidate Portal in the IFRN Competition Management System (SGC).

The registration period starts at 2 PM on July 22 and goes until 11:59 PM on August 12. To register and enroll, it is necessary to have an active email account.

Registration on the Candidate Portal

  1. Access the Competition Management System (SGC) of IFRN;
  2. Create a new account by filling in the requested information;
  3. Validate your account via the link that will be sent to the registered email.

Application for the Selection Process

  1. Log into the system with CPF and password;
  2. Select the desired competition and course offer;
  3. Correctly fill in the requested information and confirm the application.

Internet Access

For those who do not have internet access, it will be possible to register at the nearest campus to their residence on weekdays, according to the hours specified in the notice.

Required Documentation

To complete your enrollment, it is necessary to have the following documents:

  • Photo identification;
  • CPF;
  • Proof of completion of high school.

Results and Enrollment

The results will be published on the Candidate Portal, and the approved candidates must complete their enrollment on the dates established by IFRN.

Enrollment will be conducted in person at the campuses where the courses will be offered.
