The Federal Institute (IF) Opened 210 Spots for Free Technical High School Courses and Selection Will Be by Lottery.

This Sunday, (07/14), the Federal Institute of Southern Minas Gerais (IF SUL DE MINAS) has 210 spots open for free technical courses. The opportunities are to study at the campuses of Machado and Muzambinho, with classes scheduled to start in September 2024. All courses are in-person and free, offering an excellent opportunity for those who wish to qualify professionally.

Technical Courses Offered by the Federal Institute

The free technical courses available at the Federal Institute cover various areas of knowledge, including the following options:

Agriculture (Muzambinho Campus);
Accounting (Muzambinho Campus);
Occupational Safety (Muzambinho Campus);
Administration (Machado and Muzambinho Campuses).

The selection of candidates will be conducted through a lottery, ensuring transparency and fairness in the process.

Distribution of Spots

It is important to highlight that half of the spots are reserved for candidates who have completed their Elementary or High School education in public schools.

The other half of the open spots in the free technical courses at the Federal Institute is designated for general competition.

Additionally, 5% of the general competition spots are reserved for candidates with disabilities confirmed by medical documentation.

How to Enroll and Compete for Spots in Free Technical Courses?

Applications can be made until July 26, 2024, exclusively online, through the official website of the Federal Institute.

There will be no application fee for any of the free technical courses, facilitating access for all interested parties.

About the Federal Institute of Southern Minas Gerais

IFSULDEMINAS is the result of an initiative by the Federal Government in 2008, aimed at expanding and strengthening professional and technological education in Brazil.

Through the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific, and Technological Education, several educational institutions were unified, creating a robust and high-quality network.

In Southern Minas, the IF was born from the union of the federal agricultural technical schools in Inconfidentes, Machado, and Muzambinho.

Currently, the institution has campuses in Passos, Poços de Caldas, Pouso Alegre, as well as advanced campuses in Carmo de Minas and Três Corações, and advanced nuclei and centers in various cities in the region.
