A new selection process at the Federal Institute of Piauí (IFPI) is open for the formation of a reserve list aimed at hiring teachers. The positions at the Federal Institute are for subjects in Administration, Information Technology, and Libras. Interested candidates in the selection process at the Federal Institute must have Brazilian nationality or be naturalized, be in good standing with political rights, and up to date with electoral and military obligations, be at least 18 years old by the last day of registration. The following requirements are necessary for the positions at the Federal Institute:
Administration
Those with a bachelor’s degree in Administration, Public Administration, Human Resource Management Technology, Business Management Technology, Public Management Technology, Foreign Trade Technology, or Managerial Processes Technology, with or without a Postgraduate degree (Improvement, Specialization, Master’s, or Doctorate) may apply.

Information Technology
A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Systems Analysis, Computer Engineering, Technology in Systems Analysis and Development, Technology in Computer Networks, Teaching Degree in Information Technology, Technology in Internet Systems, or Telecommunications Engineering is required.
Libras
A Teaching degree in Education and a Teaching degree in Linguistics/Libras with or without postgraduate studies, or a Teaching degree in Education with Specialization in Brazilian Sign Language-Libras, with or without other postgraduate degrees is required.
All required qualifications must be verified, according to the attached schedule, with the presentation of a diploma from a higher education course duly registered by an educational institution recognized by the MEC.
Follow the Steps Below to Register for the Selection Process IFPI
According to the announcement, salaries for the positions at the federal institute range from R$ 4,580.57 to R$ 6,356.02, with a work schedule of 40 hours per week for the performance of the functions stipulated for the position.
Registrations will be open from January 2, 2025, until the 10th of the same month. Interested candidates must pay the fee of R$ 50 for registration in the selection process at the Federal Institute, which must be done on the IFPI website.
There will be no full or partial exemption from the registration fee. For the registration, candidates for the positions at the Federal Institute must attach the following documents:
- Verified Lattes Curriculum;
- 01 Copy of the identity document (RG) or National Identity Card (CIN);
- Copies of the documents proving the required qualifications for the position/course/subject they are applying for, as per the announcement;
- Copy of the Individual Taxpayer Registration (CPF);
Stages of the Selection Process
The IFPI selection process will consist of Title Examination, and Didactic Performance Exam. The Title Examination will observe fundamental curricular components for the selection process at the Federal Institute. These include:
ACADEMIC FORMATION
Doctorate
- In the area of knowledge or discipline relevant to the competition;
- In a related area.
Master’s Degree
- In the area of knowledge or discipline relevant to the competition;
- In a related area.
Specialization (minimum of 360 hours)
- In the area of knowledge or discipline relevant to the competition;
- In a related area.
TEACHING ACTIVITIES AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Proof of teaching experience at any level of basic education;
- Proof of teaching experience at the higher education level;
- Proof of passing a Public Competition;
- Proof of professional experience, excluding teaching, in the area of knowledge or discipline relevant to the competition.
Participation in Examination Committees
a) Specialization;
b) Conclusion of Course Work (TCC).
RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
- Publication of scientific papers in journals with ISSN;
- Publication on specialized websites with ISSN;
- Publication of books with ISBN;
- Publication of chapters in books with ISBN;
- Publication of full papers in international conferences;
- Publication of full papers in national conferences;
- Guidance of completed Scientific Initiation (IC);
- Guidance of Conclusion of Course Work (TCC).
