Opportunity Brings 100 Vacancies for Teachers, Includes Several Areas of Knowledge and Reserves Quotas, with Salaries That Can Exceed R$ 13 Thousand. Selection Process Will Be Held in Three Stages and Applications Occur in August.
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pernambuco (IFPE) announced the opening of a public competition to select 100 Professors of Basic, Technical and Technological Education (EBTT) with salaries that can reach R$ 13,216.85.
Applications will be available from August 12 to 28, 2025, exclusively through the website of the Foundation for Support to Education and Technological Development of Rio Grande do Norte (Funcern).
The notice includes opportunities in several areas, including pedagogy, engineering, law, information technology (IT), and nursing, addressing the growing demand for qualified professionals in different fields of knowledge.

Salaries and Conditions for IFPE Teachers
The selection process establishes remuneration that varies according to qualifications and working hours.
Candidates with a doctoral degree in a full-time commitment can reach the salary ceiling, while teachers with minimum qualifications and a workload of 20 hours per week will have an initial salary of R$ 3,090.43.
The application fee is R$ 220 and can be paid until August 29 via Pix or bank slip, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for interested candidates.
Stages of the Public Competition for Teachers
Participants will go through three evaluation stages:
- Objective Test
- Practical Test of Didactic-Pedagogical Performance
- Evaluation of Qualifications
The objective and practical tests will have an eliminatory and classificatory nature, while the evaluation of qualifications will be exclusively classificatory, considering academic training, teaching experience, research activities, innovation, outreach, and professional practice.
All phases will occur throughout 2025, with the final results expected to be published on December 29 of the same year.

Places of Action for IFPE Teachers
The distribution of vacancies considers operations in various IFPE campuses, located in municipalities such as Abreu e Lima, Afogados da Ingazeira, Barreiros, Belo Jardim, Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Caruaru, Garanhuns, Igarassu, Ipojuca, Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Olinda, Palmares, Paulista, Pesqueira, Recife, and Vitória de Santo Antão, as well as future units in Bezerros, Goiana, Recife Centro, and Santa Cruz do Capibaribe.
This institutional expansion allows approved professionals access to different educational contexts, promoting the decentralization of federal education in Pernambuco.
Quotas and Affirmative Actions in the IFPE Competition
The selection will include affirmative actions as determined by the new Law No. 15,142/2025, which increased the reserve of vacancies for black or brown, indigenous, and quilombola individuals (PPIQ) in federal public competitions to 30%.
Of the total vacancies, 73 are for general competition, 23 for racial and ethnic affirmative actions, and 4 for persons with disabilities (PcD), according to current legislation.
The application of quotas will occur whenever there are at least two vacancies for the profile.
For areas with only one vacancy, the notice provides for a public draw, scheduled for August 8, to be broadcast live on Funcern’s official YouTube channel.
The new adjusted vacancy schedule will be published on August 11.
Verification Procedures for Quota Applicants
The rules for self-declaration and verification of quota applicants have been improved.
According to the notice, “black candidates will undergo phenotypic evaluation conducted by a specific committee”, while indigenous and quilombola individuals must present documentation proving membership in the group, with analysis carried out by committees predominantly composed of representatives from these segments.
People with disabilities will also undergo biopsychosocial evaluation, in accordance with the provisions of the notice.
Waiver of Registration Fee in the IFPE Competition
To ensure democratic access to the examination, candidates registered in the Unique Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico) with a family income per capita of up to half a minimum wage, as well as bone marrow donors recognized by the Ministry of Health, may request a waiver of the registration fee between August 12 and 18.
The request must be made through the Funcern portal, presenting the Social Identification Number (NIS) or supporting documentation from the National Registry of Volunteer Bone Marrow Donors (REDOME).
Main Dates of the IFPE Competition
The detailed schedule of the competition includes important dates, such as:
- Deadline for payment of the registration fee: August 29
- Publication of enrollment card and test locations: October 3
- Conduct of the objective test: October 19
- Subsequent stages of document evaluation and practice until the publication of the final results and ratification: December 29, 2025
The competition will have a validity of two years, which may be extended for an equal period, according to institutional interest.
