The Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (Ifes), through its Center for Reference in Training and Distance Education (Cefor), is currently accepting applications to fill 660 spots in free courses for Initial and Continuing Training (FIC), entirely online.

The courses provide an excellent opportunity for those seeking qualification without the need for commuting, according to the website horabrasil.

The available courses are distributed among three areas, each with its specific support hubs:

Paulo Nogueira

Basic English: With a workload of 60 hours, it offers 250 spots. Support hubs: UAB Conceição da Barra (50 spots), UAB Iúna (50 spots), UAB Nova Venécia (50 spots), UAB Montanha (50 spots), UAB Vargem Alta (50 spots). Prerequisites: Completed Elementary Education and access to a computer with internet.

School Secretary Assistant: With a duration of 180 hours, it provides 160 spots. Support hubs: UAB Conceição da Barra (40 spots), UAB Iúna (40 spots), UAB Nova Venécia (40 spots), UAB Montanha (40 spots). Prerequisites: Completed Elementary Education and access to a computer with internet.

Administrative Assistant: Has a workload of 175 hours, with 250 spots. Support hubs: UAB Montanha (50 spots), UAB Aracruz (50 spots), UAB Conceição da Barra (50 spots), UAB Nova Venécia (50 spots), UAB Vargem Alta (50 spots). Prerequisites: Completed Elementary Education and access to a computer with internet.

Teaching Modality and Schedule

Classes begin in April 2025, being entirely online, with no in-person meetings.

However, there will be synchronous moments for assessments, with a schedule that will be announced during the opening class.

Candidates will be allocated to the chosen hubs according to their ranking but may be reassigned if there are remaining spots.
