Online and Free Courses from the Federal Institute Open Doors to the Job Market

The Initial and Continuing Education courses (FIC) focus on offeringquick and practical training, ideal for those who want to start a new career, update their skills, or even complement their education. In the case of IFMS, classes areentirely online, allowing students to study without having to leave home.

The workload varies according to the course, but all include activities that consist ofonline classes, discussion forums, and support from tutors. According to IFMS’s rector, Elaine Borges Monteiro Cassiano, the proposal is to broaden access to professional education: “Our goal is to democratize technical training and prepare workers for the challenges of an increasingly dynamic market”.

Opportunities are spread across IFMS campuses and centers in various cities in the state. Check out the courses offered:

Administrative Assistant – offered in Aquidauana, Campo Grande, Coxim, Dourados, Jardim, Nova Andradina, Ponta Porã, Amambai, Antônio João, Maracaju, Aral Moreira, Aparecida do Taboado, Chapadão do Sul, Paranaíba, and Três Lagoas.
Computer Operator – available in Aquidauana, Campo Grande, Nova Alvorada do Sul, Sidrolândia, Corumbá, São Gabriel do Oeste, Camapuã, Dourados, Nova Andradina, Ponta Porã, Amambai, Antônio João, Maracaju, Aral Moreira, Aparecida do Taboado, Cassilândia, Chapadão do Sul, Costa Rica, Paraíso das Águas, Paranaíba, and Três Lagoas.

Vacancies and Distribution

The number of vacancies varies according to the course and municipality. In some cases, such as in Aquidauana, the courses haveunlimited vacancies, meaning that all registrants will have a guaranteed place.

In Campo Grande, for example, there are courses with100 defined vacancies, while in smaller towns like Camapuã, the number may be only 20 vacancies. This ensures that the offering meets needs from large centers to municipalities in the interior.

Transparent and Online Selection Process Conducted by Electronic Draw, Broadcast Live on YouTube

The selection will be conducted byelectronic draw, broadcast live on YouTube on September 11, 2025, at 10 AM. This procedure ensures transparency and impartiality.

All candidates will receive a participation number, announced beforehand on the IFMS Selection Central.

If the number of registrants is less than the number of vacancies, there will be no draw, and all candidates will have their enrollment guaranteed. For courses where demand exceeds vacancies by up to 10%, there may also be no draw, with all being called for the first round.

Basic Requirements to Apply

To apply, it is necessary to have theminimum education required for each course, which ranges from completed Elementary School I to completed Elementary School, depending on the chosen area. Additionally, for online courses, the candidate must haveinternet access and a computer or cell phone to follow the activities. All supporting documents must be presented at the time of enrollment.

Disclosure of candidate numbers for draw: September 9, 2025

Preliminary results: September 12, 2025
