The Grant of BR-060/364 Promises to Transform Logistics Between Mato Grosso and Goiás, With an Estimated Investment of R$ 7 Billion. The Initiative Seeks to Modernize Infrastructure, Reduce Logistics Costs, and Accelerate the Flow of Production of the Regional Agriculture.
The road infrastructure of Brazil takes a new step toward modernization. The National Agency for Land Transport (ANTT) announced the publication of the grant notice for BR-060/364/GO/MT, known as “Agro Route”.
The project covers 490 kilometers and is expected to receive over R$ 7 billion in investments.
The proposal was presented during the 1,004th Board Meeting of ANTT, this Thursday (27/3). The auction is scheduled for August 14, 2025, at the B3 headquarters in São Paulo.

Strategic Section for Agriculture
The granted section begins at the junction of BR-060 with the Rio Verde (GO) bypass and goes to the entrance of BR-364 at the Jataí (GO) bypass.
It also passes through BR-364/GO to the border with Mato Grosso and continues along BR-364/MT to BR-163 in Rondonópolis (MT). Cities such as Santa Rita do Araguaia (GO) and Alto do Araguaia (MT) are on the route.
The highway is one of the main logistics corridors in the country. With better traffic conditions, transportation time will be reduced. This directly impacts logistics costs, which can increase the competitiveness of Brazilian agriculture.
Works Planned in the Project
Among the planned improvements are 45 kilometers of duplication and about 151 kilometers of additional lanes. The proposal also includes:
- 172 new accesses;
- 30 bus stops;
- 17 extended roundabouts;
- 21 wildlife crossings.
Additionally, there will be installation of acoustic barriers, walkways, and containment boxes for hazardous materials. The idea is to ensure more safety for those traveling and also to care for environmental preservation.
According to Lucas Asfor, ANTT director and rapporteur of the process, the grant will bring benefits such as maintenance, conservation, and expansion of the highway’s capacity. He also highlighted the use of technological innovations to ensure smoother traffic.
Social Participation and Transparency
The grant notice will be available on ANTT’s website starting March 28, 2025. Interested parties can send questions between March 31 and May 14. Responses will be published by June 26.
The goal is to ensure a transparent process with broad participation from society. Economic proposals must be submitted by August 11, three days before the auction.
The winning company of the auction will have until August 22 to submit qualification documents. This will be the next step to initiate the grant contract.
Technical and Legal Support
The “Agro Route” project is part of a larger program for the modernization of the national road network. Feasibility studies were conducted by the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES).
The entire process followed technical and legal norms, with approval from the Federal Attorney’s Office along with ANTT and the Federal Court of Accounts. The concession modeling was done within the Investment Partnerships Program (PPI), linked to the Presidency of the Republic.
Transformation in West-Central Logistics
With the grant, the expectation is for a true transformation in the logistics of the Central-West region. Truck drivers and transporters will have access to a more modern highway, with better traffic conditions and enhanced safety.
Guilherme Theo Sampaio, ANTT General Director, stated that modernization will make Brazil more competitive and connected. “Modernizing infrastructure is investing in the future, ensuring that Brazilian products reach internal and external markets more quickly, strengthening the economy and creating new business opportunities for thousands of Brazilians,” he said.
