Significant price drop places recent Apple model in more competitive range and brings standard version closer to features previously exclusive to the Pro line, such as 120 Hz display, advanced cameras, and relevant improvements in performance and battery.
The iPhone 17 with 256 GB appeared on sale at Shopee for R$ 5,703, an amount indicated by price monitors as the lowest ever recorded for the model in Brazil so far, reinforcing the downward trend observed since its launch.
As a result, the device now costs much less than the R$ 7,999 initially charged for the 256 GB version, becoming a more viable alternative for those seeking the 120 Hz ProMotion display without entering the Pro model range.

Additionally, the system runs iOS 26 with integration to Apple Intelligence, which includes features such as real-time translation and image generation, while connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and IP68 certification.
48 MP cameras stand out in the set

Complementing the package are features such as Cinema mode, advanced stabilization, simultaneous recording, and smart audio adjustments, reinforcing the device’s use in different everyday scenarios.
Larger battery and faster charging
In terms of autonomy, the iPhone 17 presents a significant advancement by extending usage time compared to the previous generation, especially in video playback tasks.
According to Apple, the device achieves up to 30 hours of playback, which represents a gain of about eight hours, contributing to prolonged use without the need for frequent recharging.
In parallel, the model supports charging of up to 50% in 20 minutes with a compatible adapter, in addition to offering compatibility with MagSafe up to 25 W, expanding charging options.
Another noteworthy point is the initial storage of 256 GB, combined with front protection using Ceramic Shield 2, a material that the company describes as more resistant to scratches compared to previous versions.
Price difference between line versions
The price reduction also alters the device’s positioning within its own line, bringing it closer to simpler versions and increasing its competitiveness in the market.
Recent surveys show the iPhone 17e with 256 GB in the range of R$ 5,219, which reduces the difference to less than R$ 500 compared to the standard model.
In this context, the iPhone 17 now offers more evident advantages, such as 120 Hz display, dual 48 MP camera system, and 25 W MagSafe charging, while the 17e maintains a more basic proposal.
At the same time, the price drop increases the gap from the Pro models, which remain positioned in a significantly higher range even with variations in retail.
Since its launch in September 2025, when it arrived for R$ 7,999, the device had been maintaining higher values in price comparators and major stores.
Now, reaching R$ 5,703 at Shopee, the iPhone 17 occupies a more aggressive range for a recent Apple model, becoming more accessible within the brand’s own strategy.
