Job Openings in Ireland in Artificial Intelligence: Unmissable Opportunities for Portuguese Speakers!

If you dream of working in Ireland, especially in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), opportunities are closer than you think. Companies in Dublin are hiring fluent Portuguese speakers for positions that could change your career. Discover the main job openings in Ireland and learn how to apply!

The job market in Ireland is in full expansion, especially in the Artificial Intelligence sector. And if you speak Portuguese, your chances are even better. CPL, a renowned recruitment company, has opened a series of positions for Portuguese (Brazilian) Language Expert in the role of Annotator. These positions are aimed at professionals with various backgrounds, such as Medicine, Psychology, Philosophy, Marketing, Engineering, and Law, with the goal of assisting in the improvement of AI models, according to Edublin.

The job involves data annotation, an essential process for the development and enhancement of AI models, which learn to classify and process information more efficiently. Practically speaking, you would be helping to train algorithms to understand the best texts, images, and even videos, using tools like Text-to-Speech (TTS) and Large Language Models (LLM). It is a unique opportunity for those looking to work with cutting-edge technology and broaden their horizons!

What Does a Data Annotator Do?

The job openings in Ireland for data annotators are crucial for the development of new AI models. But what does an annotator do? Simple: they label, organize, and evaluate data so that machines can “learn” effectively. In the case of vacancies opened by CPL, you will be responsible for:

· Generating questions and answers that simulate real conversations.

· Evaluating the quality of data and providing feedback to improve AI tools.

· Researching and organizing new categories of information.

· Contributing to the continuous improvement of models based on the annotated data.

In addition, fluency in Portuguese is a crucial differential. The positions are especially for those who master the language and also have a good command of English. This is because you will be dealing with a large amount of data in both languages, which requires precision and attention to detail.

Requirements to Apply for Jobs in Ireland

The job openings in Ireland require certain criteria to be met. Ideal candidates must have:

· Advanced proficiency in Portuguese and English (C1 level on the CEFR).

· A degree in fields like Medicine, Psychology, Philosophy, Marketing, or related areas.

· Ability to analyze data and formulate cohesive and realistic responses.

· Experience in working with data and trends.

· Skill to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

If you possess all these skills, you are on the right track! Furthermore, the annual salary for these positions is €27,000, with benefits like a company pension plan and a work environment in Sandyford, Co.

Fluency in Portuguese Is a Major Differential in the Irish Market

If you think that speaking Portuguese is not a big differential in Ireland, it’s time to change that. Companies like Google, Meta, Airbnb, and Microsoft are constantly looking for professionals who master the language to work in their customer service, sales, and technical support teams.

Many of these multinationals have their European headquarters in Dublin, and Portuguese is one of the most sought-after languages due to the large number of business transactions with Brazil and Portugal. Google, for example, has offered positions for data analysts and Google Ads account managers, where fluency in Portuguese is essential.

Meta is also seeking fluent Brazilian Portuguese speakers to work in online operations, especially in the areas of security and support. These positions are usually offered by partnering companies, such as Accenture and Cognizant. Therefore, it is worth keeping an eye out and exploring these opportunities.

How to Increase Your Chances of Getting a Job in Ireland

If you are looking for job openings in Ireland, here are some tips to increase your chances of success:

1st Keep your LinkedIn updated: Many opportunities arise directly on the platform.

2nd Use sites like Even, Jobs.ie, and Irish Jobs: these platforms offer a wide variety of jobs for Portuguese speakers.

3rd Filter your searches by “Portuguese” or “Brazilian Portuguese”: This makes it easier to find specific job openings for Portuguese speakers.

Even if some of these positions require full-time availability — which can be an obstacle for exchange students with a Stamp 2 visa — there is always the possibility of finding a company willing to sponsor your work visa. For those with European citizenship or Stamp 4 visa, the doors are even more open!
