The Classcentral platform is offering 521 free online courses from the universities of Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, and Yale. Classcentral is responsible for centralizing all the free online courses from the universities that make up the Ivy League on one page; however, the courses are taught on sites like edX, Coursera, Kadenze, and Canvas Network.
According to Uol, the free online courses cover areas such as “Social Sciences,” “Business,” “Humanities,” “Health and Medicine,” and more. The courses can be taken in English, Spanish, French, and Chinese; however, some courses offer the option of subtitles in Portuguese. The vast majority of courses offer a certificate, but a fee is required to receive it.
It is worth noting that some free online courses from Ivy League universities are aimed at students with prior knowledge in the field to fully benefit from the course content course. However, since they are free, it is valid to participate even if the student does not have a specialization in the field.
