How the Selection Process Works
The selection process for the Higher Education and Technical Courses at IF is quite accessible and varies according to the level and modality of the course. For the technical courses integrated with High School and the subsequent technical course in Nursing, selection will be done through a in-person test scheduled for December 8, 2024. The test will consist of 50 questions, half in Portuguese and the other half in Mathematics.
For the other subsequent and concurrent technical courses, selection will be conducted through a lottery. For the Higher Education Courses, candidates can choose to take an in-person test on December 8 or use the score from the National High School Exam (Enem) from the 2016-2023 editions. Spots through the Unified Selection System (SiSU) will also be offered in a specific announcement.

To enroll in the Higher Education and Technical Courses at IF, simply access the official website of the institution at the link https://www.ifsuldeminas.edu.br/. Enrollment is open until November 14, 2024. The enrollment fee for Higher Education Courses is R$40.00, while for the integrated technical courses and the subsequent technical course in Nursing, the fee is R$20.00.
Candidates with a family income per capita of up to one minimum wage who have completed Elementary or High School in public schools or with full scholarships in private schools may apply for a fee exemption. The deadline to apply for a fee exemption is October 31, 2024.
