JAC Motors Just Launched a New Version of the JAC E-JS1 in China, Making the Electric Car Even More Affordable
The new version of the most affordable electric car offers a range of 301 km, keeping the price more accessible to the Chinese public. This mini electric car, previously marketed under the Sihao sub-brand, is now part of the JAC Yttrium line but retains its unchanged design. The main changes are the presence of the JAC logo on both the front and rear, according to Insideevs.
The most affordable electric car features a honeycomb-shaped air intake and a U-shaped black accent at the bottom, adding more depth to the front view. At the rear, the model has unique taillights. Consumers can choose from four color options and three wheel styles.
Dimensions and Design of the Most Affordable Electric Car
The JAC E-JS1’s dimensions remain the same, with a length of 3,650 mm, a width of 1,670 mm, a height of 1,540 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,390 mm. The interior also maintains the familiar design, but now features the JAC logo on the steering wheel. Like the version sold in Brazil, the Chinese model has a fully digital instrument panel and a 12.8-inch central screen, along with a modern gear selector.

The dashboard of the most affordable electric car is dual-layered, with wireless charging for phones and cup holders on the top, along with a USB interface and a 12V power outlet at the bottom.
In terms of performance, the most affordable electric car has a front motor of 36 kW / 49 hp, a maximum torque of 110 Nm, and a top speed of 102 km/h. The lithium iron phosphate battery has a capacity of 30.2 kWh, providing a range of 301 km on the CLTC cycle. The fast charging time is 42 minutes, while the slow charging takes 10 hours and 30 minutes.

Comparison with the Brazilian Model
Currently, the JAC E-JS1 is sold in Brazil for R$ 126,900, in a single version that includes steel wheels with hubcaps, fabric seats and does not have wireless charging. Comparatively, the Chinese version offers additional features and equipment that make the model even more attractive to the local market.
