Equinor Awarded Heerema Fabrication Group the Contract for the Acquisition and Construction of the Peregrino II WHP C Jacket in May 2017. Construction Started in November 2017 at Heerema’s Yard in Vlissingen.
In a social media post from the group this Thursday (24), Heerema Fabrication Group Announced That the Jacket Had Left Its Yard in Vlissingen, Netherlands. The Jacket is Approximately 135 Meters Tall and Has a Footprint of 66 x 53 Meters and Weighs 9,200 Tons.
The Main Function of the Jacket is to Serve as the Upper Base, Including Drilling and Processing Facilities, Utilities, Power Generation, Accommodations, and a Helipad with a Project Operating Weight of 25,000 Tons. The Jacket Was Also Designed for Fresh Water Storage for Submersible Pumps Connected to These Storage Tanks.

The Field Consists of Two Fixed Wellhead Platforms and a Floating Storage and Offloading Unit (FPSO).
The Peregrino C Platform is Part of the Peregrino Phase II Project, Which Includes the Addition of a Third Fixed Well Platform in the Field. The Second Phase is Expected to be Developed at a Cost of US $3.5 Billion.
The New Peregrino C Platform is Scheduled to Start Operations in Late 2020. The Platform Will Help Extend the Lifespan of the Peregrino Field and Create Value and Jobs for 20 Years, Adding 273 Million in Recoverable Reserves.
Equinor and Sinochem are Joint Owners of the Field, with Equinor Being the Operator Holding a 60% Stake in the Asset. Sinochem Holds the Remaining 40% in the Field.
