The Announcement Was Made by the Norwegian Company to Interested Parties Who Wish to Operate in the Assets in the Peregrino Field, from Its Operational Base in Rio de Janeiro in Offshore Activities
If you are an offshore professional and want to work at the oil giant Equinor, there are real chances of competing for job vacancies in the assets that the Norwegian company holds in Brazil and that it will still invest until 2030, focusing on mature fields. According to the operator’s announcement this week, candidates will be selected to perform activities on two fixed platforms and one FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading Unit).
“We are recruiting more than 50 people to work in different offshore roles in the Peregrino field, where we have two fixed platforms and one FPSO, and we will soon receive another fixed platform. This process is part of an organizational adjustment aimed at a sustainable operational model for Equinor’s ambitions in Brazil, which include the expansion of its offshore activities. Our goal is to reinforce the Equinor DNA in our operations, focusing on safety and efficiency. Shall we work together on this?” Completes Equinor in an official statement on September 6th.

Many have complained to Click Oil and Gas regarding intermittent contracts, the current model chosen by offshore maintenance service providers operating in Brazil. If they want a little more stability in the profession, the best thing to do nowadays is to focus on operators and Subsea companies. Why are we saying this? Simple! An FPSO operates on average for 25 years, maintenance or shutdown contracts last for months or only by demand.
