Jeep Avenger Will Be Produced in Porto Real (RJ) Starting in 2026 and Is Expected to Arrive at Dealerships in the Same Year, Expanding the Brand’s SUV Lineup in the Country. Model Will Have Hybrid Versions and May Include 4×4 Traction.
Stellantis has confirmed the national production of the Jeep Avenger in Porto Real (RJ).
Manufacturing will start in 2026, with the model launching in the same year at Brazilian dealerships.
The announcement is part of a R$ 3 billion plan aimed at the Fluminense hub between 2025 and 2030, with supplier strengthening and new hiring already underway.

Honda performs miracles in fuel consumption with a hatch that marks 13.2 km/l in the city and 15 km/l on the highway, leaving Polo, HB20, 208, and Onix behind and becoming a reference among compact cars without resorting to turbo or hybrid systems.

With 122 hp, fuel consumption of up to 17.7 km/l, and a trunk capacity of 440 liters, this hybrid SUV impresses even though it costs up to R$ 47,000 more than the Yaris — meet the Toyota Corolla Cross.
As part of the statement, the company highlighted that the Avenger will join the range produced in the country, increasing the brand’s presence in the compact SUV segment.
The confirmation ends months of testing and preparations conducted in Brazil since 2023 and intensified in 2024, when units were seen in engineering evaluations here.
Competition in the Compact SUV Segment
Positioned at the base of the lineup, the Avenger will be situated below the Renegade and will compete with T-Cross, Creta, Duster, and other B-SUVs.
The strategy aims to expand Jeep’s reach in the entry-level market, in one of the most competitive segments in the country.
The new SUV will not replace the Renegade, which will remain in the lineup as a complementary option in the immediately higher range.
CMP Platform and Content for Brazil

The utility will be built on the CMP platform, a modular base that already supports the Citroën C3, Aircross, and Basalt manufactured in Porto Real.
By bringing the Avenger into the same industrial ecosystem, Stellantis reduces costs, simplifies the component chain, and enhances the effect of local scale.
Inside, the European model features a high-mounted multimedia center, a digital instrument cluster, and an assistance package appropriate for the category.
The Brazilian configuration has not yet been detailed, but the expectation is to preserve the dashboard architecture and the connectivity features that characterize the project.
Engine Options Expected for the National Market
Stellantis has not officially disclosed the engines for the national Avenger.
However, specialized publications in Brazil indicate that the SUV is expected to use the well-known 1.0 turbo flex three-cylinder, with around 130 hp and 20.4 kgfm of torque.
The package is expected to be coupled with a CVT transmission with seven simulated gears.
A 12V mild hybrid system is also anticipated, aligned with what the company already offers in the Pulse and Fastback.
In Europe, the Avenger combines three main offerings: electric, e-Hybrid, and 4xe with all-wheel drive.
This variety gives hints about how the product could evolve in Brazil, although the automaker has not confirmed which versions will be available here.
4×4 Traction: Jeep’s Differential

Outside the country, Jeep already sells the Avenger 4xe with an AWD system and specific calibration for off-road use.
The hybrid package combines a combustion engine and two electric motors, front and rear, delivering the brand’s characteristic off-road DNA in a more compact size.
For the Brazilian market, Jeep has not yet confirmed the offer of 4×4 traction.
Dimensions and Interior Space
If it replicates the global measurements, the Avenger will have 4.08 m in length, 2.56 m in wheelbase, 1.53 m in height, and 1.77 m in width.
This size places it in the middle of the compact SUV segment.
In the trunk, there are discrepancies depending on the engine: Jeep announces up to 380 liters for combustion versions in Europe, while the electric version is usually listed with 355 liters.
The definition for Brazil will depend on the final configuration.
Porto Real Factory Gains Prominence
The choice of Porto Real reinforces the multibrand nature of the hub, which currently manufactures Citroën C3, Aircross, and Basalt.
With the new Jeep, Stellantis deepens the use of the CMP, brings in new suppliers, and expands local labor.
The production announcement was accompanied by a reference to 300 new hires made at the beginning of the year to prepare the plant for the next phase.
Additionally, the arrival of the Avenger in 2026 helps to complete the brand’s national portfolio, alongside the Renegade, Compass, and Commander produced in the country.

Wrangler and Grand Cherokee continue to be imported and remain the upper tiers of the lineup.
Jeep Avenger Will Be the Brand’s Entry Point
The plan for Jeep is to make the Avenger the entry point for the brand, keeping the Renegade one step above.
The coexistence of the two models is part of the strategy to cover a wider range of prices and usage profiles.
Store arrivals are expected for 2026, following the start of series production in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
In the meantime, road testing and consumer perception trials continue to form the final stage of nationalization.
These cycles are common when a global product needs to adapt content, calibration, and costs to the Brazilian reality before the commercial debut.
What Still Needs to Be Confirmed
In the coming months, key points to watch are the official confirmation of the powertrain, the availability of electrified versions, and any 4×4 configurations for Brazil.
There should also be definitions regarding safety content and driver assistance, increasingly relevant factors among the direct competitors of the Avenger in the country.
Which of these items do you consider decisive in choosing an entry-level B-SUV?
