Versys‑X 300 Tourer Is Ready to Travel with Side Bags and 400 Km of Range — Yes, It’s Available in Brazil; Understand Why It Still Goes Unnoticed.
Among the entry-level adventure motorcycles that have gained traction in international markets, the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 Tourer stands out for offering a complete package aimed at travel and mixed use, focusing on range, comfort, and versatility. The version sold in Mexico, Chile, the USA, and other countries comes factory-equipped with rigid side bags, hand guards, a top case support, a center stand, and a tall windscreen — features that are also found in the version sold in Brazil.
The absence of this version in the national market is particularly felt by those seeking a Kawasaki trail bike with a true adventure feel without having to resort to expensive and often poorly integrated aftermarket accessories.
What Is the Versys-X 300 Tourer and Why Does It Stand Out?
The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 Tourer is an entry-level adventure bike designed for those who want to tackle highways, light dirt roads, and long distances with fuel efficiency and ergonomic comfort.

Fiat launches the new 2027 Toro hybrid with 48V, 176 hp, an electric motor of 15.5 hp, a 0.85 kWh battery, up to 7% fuel savings, 8% fewer emissions, and possible exemption from IPVA.
The model’s base is the same as the sporty Ninja 300, featuring a 296 cc parallel-twin engine, but adapted for a more linear delivery and less vibration at low RPM — ideal for long trips.
The great advantage of the Tourer version is that it is already ready for the road: with factory side bags, hand guards, a top case support, and a center stand. This saves consumers the hassle of searching for compatible parts and installing accessories later.

What Few Know About the Versys-X 300 Tourer
- The reinforced steel frame and longer suspension make the bike ideal for dirt and gravel sections, despite its on-road proposal.
- The gear ratio is longer than that of the Ninja 300, which helps keep RPM low and reduces consumption.
- The Versys uses spoked wheels and a 19″ front rim, allowing it to tackle light terrains more comfortably than rivals with alloy wheels.
- The high-revving parallel-twin engine offers smoothness and flexibility that no single-cylinder trail bike can match in this range.
Is It Worth It?
Although the Versys-X 300 Tourer is officially available in Brazil, many adventurers still turn to buying more complete units abroad, especially via Chile or Mexico. In these versions, the set of side bags, center stand, guards, and accessories come from the factory — which prevents Brazilian buyers from spending more than R$ 10 thousand extra on adaptations after purchasing the basic version.
But why doesn’t Kawasaki offer the same level of equipment in the country that it distributes abroad? Are we facing a conservative commercial strategy, or is the Brazilian public still not mature enough to appreciate a 300cc bike ready for long trips straight from the dealership?
Meanwhile, the market misses the chance to consolidate a culture of accessible and complete trails, and many continue to think that only big trails priced at R$ 90 thousand will do.
