Rio Grande do Sul Receives Help From Embraer KC390, Aviation Giant Capable of Carrying Tons of Support Materials.
The Embraer KC390 has been put into action in recent days to assist the population of Rio Grande do Sul. KC390 stands out as a true icon of efficiency with its exceptional cargo capacity, impressive range, and unmatched versatility. The aircraft not only transports hope and humanitarian aid but also raises the standards of safety and performance.
Understand How the Embraer KC390 Will Help Rio Grande do Sul
We know that the destruction of nature can be fatal, and unfortunately, it has happened in Rio Grande do Sul. As the public is already aware, the river has risen alarmingly, and to help these people, aircraft are essential. This is where the Embraer KC390 comes into action, delivering essential supplies, evacuating the injured, and moreover, it can transport armored vehicles like the Guarani.
With its amphibious performance, it can save people and deliver supplies to the population. However, the impact of the KC390 goes beyond emergencies and military operations. Its operational efficiency also translates into tangible economic benefits, boosting international trade, promoting regional development, and stimulating global connectivity.

Furthermore, the Embraer KC390, in action, shows other countries its efficiency in real missions. Last Saturday (11), two impressive aircraft from Embraer operated by the First Transport Squadron Zeus of the Brazilian Air Force took off at 7:30 from the Brasília Air Force Base on a mission loaded with purpose.
These giants of the skies transported approximately 40 tons of donated items, equally divided between the two aircraft heading to the airbase in Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul.
More Than 425 Tons of Essential Items Are Set to Be Transported to Rio Grande do Sul

According to information from the Brazilian Air Force, in addition to the air operation, the Campaign United for the South is coordinating the ground transport of donations.
In this initiative, 380 tons of food and materials are being transported by 19 trucks in a joint collaboration between the Army and volunteer entrepreneurs. This combined action will ensure that more than 425 tons of essential items reach the state, highlighting the power of unity and solidarity in times of need.
Among the items transported by the Embraer KC390 to Rio Grande do Sul are generators, portable toilets, operational tents, mattresses, and electrical and hydraulic support materials. These resources will be essential for ensuring food, lodging, hygiene, bathing, and sanitation support, as well as maintaining overall well-being.
In addition, military personnel will be present to assemble the entire structure in Canoas. In total, the FAB operates in the state with 1,023 military personnel and 17 aircraft. They have already rescued 1,838 people and 210 animals. There have been 44 aeromedical evacuations and 80 tons of donations and 240.7 tons of support materials transported.
Understand the Success of the Embraer KC390
Compared to the C130, which is still one of the most used aircraft in the world, the KC390 generally has a greater useful load capacity, meaning it can carry more in terms of weight and volume.
Additionally, the Embraer KC390 tends to perform better in terms of speed, range, and operational altitude compared to the C130. The acquisition and operating costs of the KC390 can be comparable or slightly higher than the C130 depending on specific configurations and operational needs of each customer.
However, the KC 390 can offer a better return on investment due to its greater capacity and efficiency. Although the Embraer model has great potential, many countries still have doubts about its real efficiency, and a mission of this magnitude in Rio Grande do Sul shows the world the power of Embraer’s aircraft and, of course, most importantly, the humanitarian aid.
