Embraer’s Unit in Gavião Peixoto (SP) Marks a Historical Milestone in Military Aircraft Production in Brazil
Embraer held, 1 year ago, the inauguration of the Gripen E aircraft production line at its facility in Gavião Peixoto (SP), marking a significant advance in the technology transfer program and strengthening the fighter jet ecosystem in Brazil.
The inauguration of this production line represents not only the production of the first supersonic fighter jet in Latin America, but also an important milestone in the collaboration between Embraer and the Brazilian Air Force. The unit in Gavião Peixoto is the only one outside of Sweden producing the Gripen E and will be responsible for the production of 15 units for the Brazilian Air Force, the Brazilian Air Force.
Moreover, the aircraft production line has the capacity to meet future orders not only from Brazil but also from other countries in the region, demonstrating the potential of the Brazilian aerospace industry in manufacturing high-tech aircraft.
