Last Saturday (28), Lar Agroindustrial Cooperative, with support from the MS government, inaugurated its soybean processing complex, located in the municipality of Caarapó, MS.

Lar Agroindustrial Cooperative, being one of the giants in soybean production, is one of the most modern in Brazil and is generating around 300 jobs, as a result of the state policy in favor of industrialization in MS. It is known that the company invested around R$ 219 million in the soybean production unit.

Lar Agroindustrial Cooperative has twenty-seven units, of which thirteen are located in the state of Paraná, thirteen in MS, and one in Santa Catarina.

New Industrial Complex for Soybean Processing by Lar in MS Has Capacity for Over 1 Ton of Soybeans

The new complex of Lar Agroindustrial Cooperative has the capacity for over 1 ton of soybeans per day and for producing 300 tons of biodiesel per day as well, not to mention the production of meal and energy.

It is well known that Lar Agroindustrial Cooperative has future plans to enter the biodiesel production sector. The structure of the entire industry originated from Agrenco, but it was halted for 11 years and subsequently acquired and revitalized by Lar around 2019.

The installation of Lar Agroindustrial Cooperative in the city of Caarapó, within the state policy of tax incentives and industrialization, demonstrates the confidence that the cooperative placed in the MS state. “This complex was run-down. Lar decided to invest here and is now turning raw materials into industrialized products with added value; transforming soybeans into refined and crude oil, into meal, into pelletized husk, and into biodiesel. It is also generating jobs and opportunities for everyone,” stated Governor Reinaldo Azambuja.
