Property Used as the Facade of the Banks Family in Los Angeles Will Be Listed by Luxury Realtors, Combining Historical Television Value, 1937 Architecture, and Estimated Price of US$ 30 Million

The iconic mansion associated with the Banks family in the series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will be listed for sale later this January in Los Angeles, valued at around US$ 30 million, equivalent to approximately R$ 161 million, consolidating its cultural and real estate relevance linked to television.

The residence became a symbol of the production originally aired by NBC and popularized in Brazil by SBT, boosting Will Smith‘s career during the 1990s.

Sale and Conduct of the Listing

According to information from TMZ, the group The Altman Brothers will be responsible for the sale, with an official announcement expected later this January.

Valued at approximately US$ 30 million, equivalent to around R$ 161 million, the mansion stands out for its high price and cultural significance associated with the series.

Although the plot was set in Bel-Air, the exterior scenes were filmed at the property located in Brentwood, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, United States.

Architectural Features of the Property

Built in 1937, the residence features Georgian Colonial design, consisting of six bedrooms and seven bathrooms spread over a built area of about 930 square meters.

The property occupies a corner lot of over 3,500 square meters, a fact reported by the Splash portal, emphasizing its significant residential dimension.

Despite the television association, only the exterior shots were filmed at the house, while the interior recordings took place in studios, keeping the facade as the main visual reference.

Continued Use of the Mansion as an Audiovisual Location

Beyond its television history, the mansion continues to be used as a location for film and streaming productions, preserving its original historic facade.

Currently, the house serves as a setting for a Netflix project, remaining active while awaiting the definition of a new owner.

Over the years, the property has also been highlighted in promotional actions, maintaining a recurring presence in initiatives related to the series’ memory.

Special Experience for Fans of the Series

In 2020, during the celebrations of 30 years of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, part of the mansion was made available for rent through Airbnb.

The initiative allowed fans to experience the themed stay for nightly rates of US$ 30, around R$ 161, bringing admirers closer to the series universe.

These events reinforce the symbolic value of the property, which combines historic architecture, media exposure, and lasting ties to international television culture, as well as the high-end real estate market.
