Lithium Royalty Corp., a company focused on lithium royalties, recently acquired new royalties, this time related to the Das Neves Lithium Project in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
The acquisition includes a 3.0% gross revenue royalty (GOR) and was made for the amount of US$ 20 million, coming from the company’s own funds. With this addition, LRC now has 31 high-grade revenue royalties in its portfolio from mineral properties around the world.
The Das Neves Project is considered to have significant mineral resource potential, with high-grade coarse-grained spodumene ore, which could contribute to the straightforward processing of the project. Atlas Lithium, which is currently exploring the project and has other nearby claims, expects to release its first mineral resource in mid-2023, followed by a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) approximately two months after the resource report.
The company’s goal is to produce 150,000 tons per year (tpa) of spodumene concentrate.
Lithium Royalty Corp. not only benefits from the commencement of operations at Sigma Lithium, but also has access to 100% renewable hydropower for electricity and has utilized methods that limit the use of harmful chemicals or flotation.

USA and China compete for Brazil over resources that could be worth trillions — rare earths put the country at the center of a global dispute
-
With 74% of companies facing difficulties in hiring, technicians and engineers in renewable energy are becoming scarce in Brazil and are essential to support the expansion of solar, wind, and green hydrogen projects.
-
After China, it’s now the turn of the USA to ‘secure’ a share of Brazil’s natural resources: the country buys critical rare earths for R$ 3 billion and enters the center of the global technology dispute.

Rare earths are in everything, from cell phones to bullet trains, and what almost no one realizes is why they have become the target of such a delicate global war.
The company is a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment and has integrated ESG (environmental, social, and governance) factors and sustainable mining into its investment analysis and royalty acquisitions.
The acquired royalty area from Atlas Lithium covers over 104 km², presenting great potential, especially given the proximity of these claims to the Sigma Lithium Grota do Cirilo project. The acquisition of the royalties was fully financed with cash on hand, with no need for external financing, demonstrating the financial leadership of Lithium Royalty Corp.
With the growing global need for decarbonization and electrification of transport, lithium is becoming an increasingly important element for the global economy.
Brazil, a significant potential in terms of mineral resources, is rapidly becoming an important and eco-friendly lithium jurisdiction. The entry of Lithium Royalty Corp. into the country, through its partnership with Atlas Lithium, solidifies its presence in the region and strengthens its investment option in lithium.
In summary, the acquisition of royalties from Das Neves Lithium Royalty by Lithium Royalty Corp. is a strategic move that reinforces the company’s presence in Brazil and strengthens its status as a benchmark in lithium investment.
The ongoing exploration by Atlas Lithium and the production of high-quality spodumene concentrate at the Das Neves project are factors that will contribute to revenue generation for Lithium Royalty Corp. and to the electrification of transport and decarbonization of the global economy, through responsibly and sustainably sourced raw materials.
