Macaé is the second best city for investment in Brazil and attracted Sika representatives

The survey carried out by Revista Exame, in 2022, and released in February 2023, pointed Macaé as the second best city for investment in Brazil. However, this result is impressive because the municipality jumped from the 26th position in 2021 to take second place nationally on the list. However, this result was in relation to the “services” branch.

In this sense, in the “commerce” segment, Macaé took 12th place. It is worth mentioning that this survey is carried out with cities that have more than 100 thousand inhabitants in the national territory. And Macaé is considered the “National Petroleum Capital”, which attracts even more attention from multinationals such as Sika.

The achievement of second place is a very important factor and takes into account the initiatives of city halls to reduce bureaucracy in licensing processes. In addition, Macaé has strong support for entrepreneurs and legal security.

Furthermore, in 2022 alone, Macaé accumulated an investment of around R$25 billion in infrastructure and logistics. This amount was allocated to new businesses and generated nearly 20 jobs.

Finally, the Secretary for Economic Development, Rodrigo Vianna, highlighted that Macaé could become one of the biggest poles of energy production, in an interview with G1. Due to these factors, Macaé may have another multinational in its territory in the coming years. After all, Sika's visit to the city in March brought about very friendly relations.

Mayor points out that the motto of the municipality is: “It is forbidden to lose business in Macaé” and the management seeks more and more investments

The territory of Macaé covers more than 1 million square kilometers and has a population of around 230 inhabitants. The great motto of the city, according to the current mayor Welberth Rezende, is “It is forbidden to lose business in Macaé”.

That is, this points to a management that seeks to close deals at all costs. No wonder the city received second place as the best municipality to invest in Brazil. In addition, the city has plants of several large companies such as modec, Subsea 7 and Transocean.
