Global Leader EM&I Expands Operations in Brazil with Facilities in Macaé.
The oil industry landscape in Brazil receives a significant boost. With a solid trajectory of over 10 years in the country, the renowned EM&I Group, a benchmark in asset integrity solutions and advanced services, takes another assertive step in Brazilian territory by inaugurating its own base in Macaé, aiming to enhance the service of local demands and those from Latin America.
This new milestone of 1,000 m² is not just a physical space: it stands out as a Research and Development (R&D) hub that promises to advance technologies and processes, always with the goal of minimizing costs and operational risks for its clients.
A Memorable Inauguration

The opening ceremony, held on September 28, not only featured the presence of global directors of the company and over 70 executives from the oil industry, but also included a practical demonstration of the solutions offered by the EM&I Group. Among the highlights are underwater inspections, offshore asset maintenance, and inspections through advanced technologies, such as cutting-edge optical cameras and high-capacity ultrasound.

Among them, Rodrigo Viana, Secretary of Economic Development, Labor, and Income of Macaé, and Renato Cordeiro, representing the UK Department for Business and Trade – DBT. Both emphasized the synergy between the innovation proposed by EM&I and the ideals of growth and development of the city of Macaé.
“We recognize the potential and contribution of EM&I. We hope this new base becomes a milestone for prosperity and expansion”, expressed Secretary Rodrigo Viana.
At the end of the ceremony, in a symbolic gesture, an ROV dove into a tank and fixed the inaugural plaque of the base.
