During the journey, which totals approximately 50 kilometers round trip, passengers can watch Santa’s movements through the carriages.

The jolly old man interacts with families, chats with the children, and hands out sweets, enhancing the fantasy atmosphere that characterizes the ride’s proposal.
The ambiance is completed with Christmas music, scenic lighting, and onboard services offering food, drinks, and themed souvenirs for sale.
Special Program Schedule
At all three scheduled editions, the reception for the public at Anhumas Station begins at 5 PM.
During this initial moment, visitors have time to photograph the illuminated locomotive, wander around the exterior, and get ready for boarding.
Around 5:30 PM, Santa Claus and his assistants make a special entrance on the platform, pose for photos, and start interacting with the children even before the train departs.
Passenger boarding is scheduled for 6 PM.
The train then continues to Jaguariúna, with an estimated arrival at 7:30 PM.
Aboard, in addition to Santa’s presence, there are opportunities to capture the journey in photos and videos, observe the interior of São Paulo at night, and enjoy the ambiance of traveling on a steam train, blending tourism, railway history, and Christmas themes.

The return is scheduled for 9 PM, arriving back in Campinas around 10 PM.
The program is standardized for all three dates, allowing the public to choose the ideal day based on availability.
Jaguariúna Station Decorated for Christmas

While waiting for the return, visitors have food and drink options available, such as snacks, side dishes, and quick meals.
There are also kiosks and points of sale for Christmas souvenirs and mementos related to the train ride.
The time spent in Jaguariúna serves as an intermediate break in the itinerary, allowing passengers to disembark, walk around, and enjoy the environment before boarding again.

Operation and Ticket Purchase
The Christmas Train is operated by the Brazilian Association for Railway Preservation, the entity responsible for maintaining and operating the railway line between Campinas and Jaguariúna, preserving steam locomotives and restored cars.
Tickets are primarily purchased through the official Maria Fumaça Campinas website, where information about dates, times, ticket categories, optional services, and payment methods is gathered.
During peak periods, the organization recommends that the public buy tickets in advance, as departures are limited to three nights and the number of seats per train is restricted.
Channels like the operator’s WhatsApp clarify questions about discount policies, rules for children, accessibility, and general boarding guidelines.
