Brazilian Navy Public Contest for 2020 Is Announced and the Participation Fee Will Be R$ 25 for Candidates Without Experience
The Brazilian Navy announced it will hold a public contest for Admission to the Apprentice-Mariners Schools, offering 900 positions for candidates who have completed or are in the process of completing high school. Those approved will receive technical training within the institution in several cities across the country. The initial training will be under a boarding regime, entirely free, based on the study of basic education subjects and naval-military education, lasting 48 weeks (1 academic year). During the course, students will receive food, uniforms, and medical, dental, psychological, social, and religious assistance.

To participate in the selection, candidates must meet the following conditions:
Requirements
- Be a natural-born or naturalized Brazilian;
- Be 18 years old and under 22 as of January 1st of the year of the course;
- Have completed high school or be in the process of completion;
- Exclusive for males;
- Not be married and have not formed a stable union, thus remaining so during the entire period at school;
- Have moral integrity and good conduct records;
- Be up to date with civil and military obligations, etc.
Classes will take place at one of the four Navy units in Brazil: in Fortaleza-CE(EAMCE), in Recife-PE (EAMPE), in Vila Velha-ES (EAMES), in Florianópolis-SC(EAMSC). At the time of registration, the candidate may choose their preferred school.

Registrations will be open from January 20 to February 3 and can be made nationally on the official Navy website or in-person at one of the Organizations Responsible for Local Execution of the Institution.
