The Winning Company of the Bidding Must Assume Responsibilities of the Fortaleza-CE Maritime Terminal for a Minimum Period of 25 Years

It was announced yesterday morning, December 9, the document that presents the necessary rules for interested companies in the concession process of the Fortaleza Passenger Maritime Terminal. The auction is set to take place at the headquarters of the National Agency of Waterway Transportation (Antaq) in Brasília on March 27, 2020, and the proposal must be submitted with a minimum value of R$ 500,000. The areas to be auctioned include sectors such as security, cleaning, boarding, disembarking, baggage scanning, and event rentals.

Legal entities from Brazil or abroad, complementary pension entities, and investment funds, whether individually or in a consortium, may participate in the ceremony. Foreign companies may also compete, provided they present the complementary documents to validate registration.

It is important to note that disobedience to any rules present in the auction notice may result in warnings, fines, and even temporary suspension of the right to contract or participate in bidding processes.

About the Terminal

The Passenger Maritime Terminal of Fortaleza-CE was inaugurated in 2014 and has a total constructed area of 12,620.00m² and an urbanized area of 132,670.00m². The project brought visibility to the city, enhancing the port section not only as a service platform for cruise ships but also as a complex with great tourism potential. It is currently managed by the Ceará Dock Company.
