The free online English course is part of a partnership between MEC and the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel

About the online course

The free online English course is part of a partnership between the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES).

The free English course offered by the IsF Program is My English Online (MEO), developed by Cengage Learning and National Geographic, for students, teachers and civil servants from institutions registered in the Languages ​​without Borders program.

The program was created with the aim of promoting actions in favor of a language policy aimed at the internationalization of Brazilian Higher Education.

At MEO, the user will have access to interactive books, graded readings (National Geographic), grammar exercises (with immediate correction), dictionaries, activities for oral practice and follow-up tests. In addition, the materials can be printed for later practice, without the need to consult the computer.

Registration

Students, professors and employees of institutions registered in the Languages ​​without Borders program can participate in the free online English course. But for that, first you need click here to check if your institution is among the 140 accredited institutions in Brazil.

To start the course, the student must register on the platform and sign the Term of Commitment. After that, the user has a deadline to start studying. To learn more about the requirements/benefits and register, click here and visit the program's website.

In addition to the free English course, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, German and Portuguese courses for foreigners are also offered.

Attention! If you don't fit into this MEC opportunity, UNESP also offers a free English course, with no prerequisites, to enroll, just register by Unesp website.

After receiving a confirmation message, the interested party can join any available course.
