An Unprecedented Investment
In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg emphasized that the data center will be “so large that it would cover a significant part of Manhattan.”
The investment will be one of the largest ever made by Meta in its history, far surpassing the company’s capital expenditures, which ranged between US$ 38 billion and US$ 40 billion in 2024.
According to Susan Li, Meta’s CFO, despite the high investment, the company has sufficient financial resources to support its expansion plans in the coming years.
