MEC Offers Over 6,000 Places in Free Online and Distance Learning Courses with Certificate Issuance by the Platform; Registration Will Last Until Spots are Filled

The MEC Has Just Opened Enrollment for Free Online and Distance Courses with Certificates Issued by Its Own Platform. The Focus Is on Professionals Working in Education, Such as Teachers and Coordinators, but Anyone Is Free to Enroll.

The Ministry of Education (MEC) is open for enrollment in free online courses of 200 hours with completion certificates. So far, there are more than 4750 spots available in the Training for Early Childhood Education Professionals. Although aimed at education sector professionals, the free distance courses accept anyone interested, who has internet access, and is available to study.

NEW Free Online Distance Courses Available from the MEC with Certificates

Together with its virtual platform (AVAMEC), the MEC has just opened new opportunities in free online and distance courses with completion certificates issued through its own teaching platform. To qualify for the certificates, candidates must complete at least two courses from the platform.

The only requirement proposed by the MEC is that the candidate must have a prior degree in any field. Meeting this requirement is enough to select the course in Training for the World of Work (register for free here). In addition to this course, it is necessary to choose one of the following courses below to issue the certificate:

The Free Online and Distance Courses with Certificates Will Have Classes Divided into Six Modules, Which Are:

Module 1: study on children’s socio-emotional development. Socio-emotional competencies in teachers and the relationship with development and learning in preschoolers. Relationship between socio-emotional development and readiness for writing and reading.

Module 2: Discussion on the pillars of education, highlighting learning to coexist, and also two essential socio-emotional competencies for establishing healthy interpersonal relationships.

Module 3: This module will have a discussion on the essential aspects of language and communication from 0 to 5 years old, in decision-making and moral development. Reflection on childhood fears and characteristics applied to this concept.

Module 4: Theory, classifications, and concept of toy, game, and play. Playful activities. Games, play, and toys as constitutive elements to acquire knowledge and development in preschoolers.

Module 5: Debate on children’s protagonism in Early Childhood Education and the essential nature of creating bonds with caregiving figures for learning and development. Highlights family and school as central contexts for promoting holistic health in early childhood.

Module 6: Reflection on the transition from Early Childhood Education to Elementary School. Theoretical deepening and important options for playful activities for the growth and development process of all children experiencing this stage.

How to Enroll in MEC’s Free Online and Distance Courses?

Those interested in participating in the free online and distance courses with certificates must access the entity’s website and click on “sign up”. You will need to create an account on the platform using full name, birth date, CPF, gender, address, phone, email, among other information.

It is worth noting that the spots in the MEC’s free online and distance courses are limited. As soon as the registration is completed, the candidate can start studying and must complete the course within a maximum of 160 days. Those who are approved will receive free certificates issued by the platform itself. The spots will last until all registrations are filled.

Free Online and Distance Courses Are Growing in Brazil

The high demand for free online and distance courses has shown significant signs of growth in the country, with the advent of the pandemic and the lack of accessibility for students in some states, the internet arrives as a game changer promoting training and completion certificates for free, as is the case with MEC.
