The Hyundai Santa Cruz is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated pickups in the Brazilian market. With its bold design, powerful engine, sophisticated interior, and wide range of technologies, this newcomer promises to stand out among established models in the segment.

With the possibility of being manufactured in Brazil, its arrival in the country is anticipated to be in 2025 as an important milestone, as the Santa Cruz has the potential to redefine standards of quality, performance, and technology in the compact pickup segment. Brazilian customers can prepare for an exciting driving experience filled with advanced features with the arrival of this new and impressive Hyundai pickup. Keep reading to check out all the details of this pickup inspired by the Tucson SUV, which promises to end the reigns of the Fiat Toro and Chevrolet Montana.

Hyundai Santa Cruz Has Bold and Modern Design, Inspired by the Tucson SUV

One of the main characteristics of the Hyundai Santa Cruz is its bold and modern design. Inspired by the medium SUV Tucson, the pickup features flowing lines and stylized elements that make it unique in the Brazilian market.

At the front, the Santa Cruz displays a new grill with straighter and chrome elements, as well as a redesigned bumper with gray details. The full LED optical set gives the vehicle a high-tech and sophisticated look.

On the sides, the pickup features cuts and a floating C-pillar, as well as wheels of up to 19 inches that accentuate its sporty appearance. At the rear, the full LED taillights that invade the bed cover and the name “Santa Cruz” in relief complete the elegant and modern design.

Hyundai’s Pickup Is Bigger Than Its Rival Fiat Toro

Despite its compact silhouette, the Hyundai Santa Cruz surprises with its impressive dimensions. At 4.97 meters in length, it is larger than the Fiat Toro but smaller than the Chevrolet Rampage. Its wheelbase of 3 meters, width of 1.90 meters, and height of 1.69 meters make it a generous pickup in terms of interior space.

The Santa Cruz’s bed also stands out, with a capacity of 935 liters and the ability to support up to 750 kilograms of load. This combination of dimensions and load capacity makes it a versatile and practical option for various uses, from transporting light cargo to engaging in leisure activities.

Powerful and Efficient Engine

The Hyundai Santa Cruz will be offered in Brazil with two combustion engine options. The base version will feature a 2.5 aspirated engine, four cylinders, delivering up to 190 horsepower and 24.9 kgfm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The more expensive versions of the pickup will be equipped with the 2.5 turbo engine, also four cylinders, but with direct fuel injection. This engine is capable of generating 285 horsepower and 42.9 kgfm of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This configuration offers remarkable performance and satisfactory fuel consumption averages.

It’s important to note that, for now, the Hyundai Santa Cruz will not feature hybrid versions, whether mild, plug-in, or conventional. However, this is a possibility that may be explored in the future, keeping pace with market trends.

Sophisticated and Technological Interior

The interior of the Hyundai Santa Cruz has been designed to offer a premium experience to its occupants. The dashboard and multimedia center have been repositioned higher, unifying the look and creating a high-tech style.

The interior finishing is of excellent quality, using noble materials throughout. The interior space, although a bit cramped, similar to the Fiat Toro, comfortably accommodates up to four adults.

In terms of equipment, the Santa Cruz stands out with features such as front seats with electric adjustments, heating and ventilation, electronic parking brake, drive mode selector, wireless phone charging, electric sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and a premium sound system from Bose.

Combination of Advanced Technologies and Safety Features Places the Hyundai Santa Cruz in a Superior Position Compared to Its Competitors

The Hyundai Santa Cruz is equipped with a wide range of technologies and safety features. The 10-inch digital dashboard is fully configurable, while the multimedia center of the same size controls various vehicle functions, such as traction, safety, and connectivity.

In terms of safety, the pickup features traction and stability controls, airbags, anti-rollover system, blind spot alert, autonomous emergency braking, collision warning, automatic high beam switching, lane change alert, animal, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, as well as adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function.

This combination of advanced technologies and safety features positions the Hyundai Santa Cruz in a superior class compared to its competitors, offering customers a safe driving experience filled with features.

Arrival in the Brazilian Market

The Hyundai Santa Cruz is scheduled to arrive in the Brazilian market in 2025. Its arrival is awaited with great anticipation, as the pickup promises to revolutionize the segment with its bold design, cutting-edge technologies, and surprising performance.

As for pricing, the Hyundai Santa Cruz will likely be sold in Brazil between R$ 250,000 and R$ 300,000 if imported. If the brand opts to produce the pickup locally, prices could range from R$ 200,000 to R$ 250,000.

Regardless of the commercialization strategy, the arrival of the Hyundai Santa Cruz represents a unique opportunity for Brazilian customers looking for a compact pickup with modern design, advanced technology, and standout performance. This new model promises to shake up the market and elevate the standards of the pickup segment in the country.

Tenho uma New Tucson 2018 e adoro o carro.
