New Method “Would You Like” Aims to Improve Communication Between Brazilian Workers and International Visitors Through Educational Videos!
Professionals working on the front lines of foreign tourist service in Brazil now have an excellent opportunity to improve their communication skills. The Ministry of Tourism (MTur) has launched the “Would You Like” English course, which is completely free and based on illustrative and educational videos. This course allows workers, even those with low education, to learn basic expressions of the language in up to six months, significantly enhancing the quality of the service provided.
Free Course Aimed at Various Professionals
The “Would You Like” English course has been specially developed for artisans, waiters, food and beverage street vendors, municipal market sellers, nautical tour guides, sport fishing guides, professionals from the Tourist Service Centers (CATs), dune buggy drivers, beach kiosk attendants, taxi drivers, app drivers, and hospitality staff. With a practical and direct approach, the course includes 1 hour and 30 minutes of audiovisual content, facilitating the learning of useful expressions in these workers’ daily lives. Access the videos HERE, divided into different categories.
Increase in International Tourist Flow
From January to May 2024, approximately 2.9 million foreign visitors were in Brazil, a 10% increase compared to the same period last year. In 2023, the country received 5.9 million international tourists, representing a 62.7% growth compared to 2022. This scenario reinforces the importance of training professionals in the sector to ensure quality service and a positive experience for tourists.
