Discovery Of A Five-Story Giant House Built Inside A Cave In Guizhou Intrigues Residents, Researchers And Visitors, Raising Questions About Who Built The Structure And Why It Was Abandoned

A woman exploring a mountainous region in Guizhou province, China, came across a five-story giant house hidden inside a cave surrounded by steep cliffs. The location is so isolated that it could only be identified using a drone, revealing a cement and brick structure with aligned windows and an apparently solid structure, despite its abandonment.

According to the visitor’s report, there are no signs of nearby housing and the road leading to the site is overgrown with weeds and moss, indicating that the five-story giant house has been forgotten for years. The building, with difficult access and a humid environment, sparked curiosity on social media due to its imposing presence and the mystery surrounding its origin and purpose.

Mysterious Structure And Practically Inaccessible Location

The construction was found between two mountains, in an area where the sun hardly reaches and a stream runs through the landscape.

The visitor reported that the environment is cold and quiet, reinforcing the enigmatic atmosphere surrounding the site.

The five-story giant house was built directly on the cliff, fitting into the gorge with surprisingly precise alignment.

Upon climbing the trail, the woman noticed that the road to the entrance is short but extremely steep. The cement path shows signs of erosion and prolonged abandonment.

Even so, the structure remains sturdy, with concrete walls still preserved and internal divisions that reveal the engineering effort used to build it in a difficult-to-access area.

Interior Reveals Tanks, Pipes And Possible Use For Animal Husbandry

Inside the property, there are several rooms with concrete tanks, pipes, and partitions that suggest the location might have been used for raising fish or salamanders, a species common in humid regions of China.

On various floors, the visitor found boxes, bottles, and remnants of materials related to aquaculture, reinforcing the hypothesis that the five-story giant house was designed for aquatic breeding activities.

The upper floors feature variations in the size of the pools, some measuring over three meters in depth.

Natural ventilation and the constant presence of water indicate that the project took advantage of the natural environment of the cave.

On the top floor, there is a large pool connected to an underground spring, suggesting the use of the space as a natural reservoir.

Abandonment And Theories About The Origin Of The Construction

Local residents claim that the house has been abandoned for a long time, and that few dare to explore it due to the difficulty of access.

Over the years, the site has been taken over by bats and moss, becoming a scene that mixes mystery and decay.

The most accepted hypothesis is that the structure was originally used for raising giant salamanders, a rare species that is demanding regarding water quality and habitat.

There are still no official records regarding who built the building or why it was abandoned.

The visitor, who filmed the complete exploration, highlighted the quality of the construction and the complexity of the internal drainage and supply systems, something unusual for a structure built in such an isolated environment.

Mystery Attracts Curious People And Rekindles Interest In Hidden Ruins In China

YouTube Video

After the exploration video went viral, thousands of internet users became intrigued by the site and are trying to unravel who might have built the five-story giant house and what its true purpose was.

The discovery rekindled interest in other abandoned and underground structures in the Guizhou region, where caves, tunnels, and natural passages hide little-documented ruins.

Local researchers have already shown interest in studying the structure, both for its construction technique and for the possible environmental impact of the abandonment.

For many residents, the site symbolizes how nature can transform and conceal human stories over time.

Would you dare to explore an abandoned house like this, hidden among the mountains?
