Motorola Unveils Signature 27 with 200 MP Periscope Camera, 50 MP Sony Sensor, Next-Gen Snapdragon, and Liquid Metal & Diamond Cooling.
On Tuesday (22), Motorola introduced the new Signature 27 during the Snapdragon Summit. This premium smartphone includes a 200 MP periscope camera, a 50 MP main sensor from Sony, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor. Additionally, the device marks the first for the manufacturer to feature the “Audio by B&O” branding, a result of their partnership with Bang & Olufsen.
Its global launch is planned for 2026. Pricing, detailed sales schedules, and specific dates for different markets have yet to be announced.
Signature 27 Features 200 MP Periscope Camera
The camera system is one of the device’s main highlights. The 200 MP periscope telephoto lens is designed for capturing images at greater distances, while the primary camera uses the Sony LYTIA 910 sensor, which boasts a resolution of 50 MP.

While recording, the Video Enhancement Engine utilizes artificial intelligence to analyze scenes and adjust color parameters. According to Motorola, the processing is designed to perform optimally under a range of conditions, including performance at concerts, low-light environments, and sunset scenes.
Stabilization incorporates Qualcomm’s electronic features alongside an optical system with a 3.5-degree movement. This setup aims to minimize shakes felt in videos recorded while users walk or move the device.
Motorola Uses Liquid Metal & Diamond to Tackle Heat
The new processor’s performance led the manufacturer to develop a thermal structure called ArcticMesh.
The system combines a redesigned 3D vapor chamber with a copper mesh. Liquid metal and thermal gel with diamond elements also contribute to the solution created for dissipating heat from internal components during demanding activities.
According to Motorola, the area of the assembly has increased by 40% compared to the previous generation.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 will manage tasks related to gaming, photography, connectivity, and artificial intelligence. The company also claims that integrated technology within the phone could double download speeds and accelerate AI applications processed in the cloud.
Bang & Olufsen Launches Partnership in New Smartphone
The Signature 27 will be the first Motorola device to carry the “Audio by B&O” branding. This innovation forms part of a multi-year agreement between the two companies to integrate audio and design expertise into premium smartphones.
The partnership is accompanied by significant visual changes. The body is crafted from aluminum with curved edges, while the area housing the cameras combines ceramics with brushed aluminum.
Two finish options were presented. PANTONE Coal Smoke features a surface inspired by technical fabrics and elements from the automotive sector. Meanwhile, PANTONE Capulet Green adopts a softer texture, visually referencing feathers.
Before the full announcement at the Snapdragon Summit, Motorola showcased the device in brief posts on X. The images revealed part of the camera design and the 200 MP resolution, leaving the rest of the technical details for the presentation on Tuesday.
The arrival of the Signature 27 in international markets is scheduled for 2026. The strategy combines high-resolution photography, enhanced thermal control, and the debut of collaboration with Bang & Olufsen in a single product, while commercial information regarding price and regional availability is still awaiting confirmation from Motorola.
