The discussion about behavior on flights gained even more attention due to another case that occurred recently. On a flight with Alaska Airlines, a passenger was restrained after grabbing a woman’s hair, causing a commotion onboard.
The incident happened on February 1, at Oakland International Airport in California, before takeoff to Portland, Oregon.
The man was subdued by a flight attendant after the assault. Witnesses reported that he was held down for several minutes before being arrested.
The aircraft had to return to the gate, and the flight was canceled after a flight attendant refused to continue.
Alaska Airlines stated that the passenger “appeared to be going through a violent medical episode” and confirmed that he was banned from the airline.
