Ludus Studio Will Provide Interactive Technology Services to Hydro in Its Operations at the Refinery Located in the State of Pará Through Virtual Simulations, Augmented Reality, and Other Startup Projects Aimed at This Segment.
After the second edition of Minera Startup, Hydro’s relationship program with startups from Pará, the mining company has a closed partnership with the startup Ludus Studio for the adoption of interactive technology in its operations. As of this Tuesday (07/26), it is known that the technology company will provide simulation services, virtual reality, and other projects for Hydro Alunorte refinery, located in Barcarena, in the state of Pará, aiming to expand the modernization of the mining plant.
Ludus Studio Was the Startup Chosen by Hydro to Provide Interactive Technology Services Focused on Modernizing Its Pará Refinery
The mining company Hydro held the second edition of its event called Minera Startup, a meeting with startups from the Pará region, and successfully established another important partnership for its business portfolio in the country, this time with Ludus Studio, which will work on developing projects involving virtual reality, interactive simulations, and augmented reality for Hydro’s operations in Brazil.
The entire process of selecting the startup focused on interactive technology was carried out through technical analyses of Ludus Studio’s team, meetings for understanding the collaboration, and defining the scope of work.

Among the projects for implementing interactive technology in Hydro’s operations, the startup will develop a simulator that will serve to study and evaluate processes to implement improvements in the filter press at the Hydro Alunorte refinery. Virtual reality glasses will be used so that the work team can check the best conditions for improvements in production.
This interactive technology will be responsible for simulating conditions and duration of the process with a time accelerator and, at the end of the procedure, generating a report that will serve for strategic decision-making regarding the handling of plates in the workshop.
Thus, Leôncio Bitar, Senior Digital Transformation Manager at Hydro, emphasized that the project is highly relevant to the company not only for optimizing refinery processes but also for being an interactive technology entirely developed by people from the Pará region, focusing on the area and contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
Startup Ludus Studio Comments on Growth Opportunity in the National Market After Contract for Interactive Technology Projects at the Norwegian Company’s Refinery
The hiring of Ludus Studio by Hydro will be essential to ensure more efficiency at the company’s Pará refinery, optimizing time and quality of the final service, and also for other projects.
This is because the startup intends to develop services also for Hydro Paragominas, the company’s bauxite mine, which involves augmented reality and delivery of real-time information. However, the partnership will be even more beneficial for Ludus Studio, which will have new directions in the national market.
“The Minera Startup program has been very important because it opens many doors and contributes to the local network. By investing in innovative technologies aimed at entrepreneurship, it drives the ecosystem and increasingly demonstrates the potential of the Pará region in this technological and creative sector. May this initiative from Hydro develop more technological projects to come. We have grown a lot after the program. The experience with the first project that is being developed at the refinery was a stimulus for internal growth,” highlighted Ítalo Freitas, CEO of Ludus Studio.
He also concluded by stating that it is remarkable the effort of Hydro in contributing to the development of the state of Pará, with investments in local companies through the Minera Startup project, and that the company has been strongly contributing to the local economy.
