Ceará Will Get Another Factory from Aeris Energy, the Leader in Production of Blades for Wind Turbines, and Many Jobs Will Be Created in the State

The announcement was made by the state government representative in an interview with Rádio O POVO CBN on the morning of last Wednesday, the 26th. According to Maia, there will be another meeting next week between the representatives of the state of Ceará and executives from Aeris to discuss the expansion of the industrial hub located in Pecém.
Aeris confirmed to Jornal O POVO its interest in building the new factory and emphasized that the new manufacturing facility will have 51,000 square meters (m²). “We invested in purchasing more land around our headquarters and increased from 320,000 m² to over 1 million m²,” the statement adds.

Coincidence or not, the interest in constructing Aeris Energy’s third factory in Ceará comes about two weeks after the Brazilian multinational announced a net profit of R$ 24 million in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 38.8% compared to the same period in 2020.

Aeris Energy emphasized that it is “well positioned to meet the growing demand for wind energy in the global energy transition process,” revealing plans to expand its production. Furthermore, the company intends to inaugurate a new distribution center in Caucaia next quarter, covering 35,000 square meters.
Maia also details that Aeris, alongside Danish company Vestas, is part of a new economic base in Ceará, focusing on sustainable practices and substantial technological investment. “Vestas is the world’s largest producer of wind turbines and 15% of its total revenue comes from Ceará,” he highlights.
With the presence of investments from leading global manufacturers of turbines and wind blades, Ceará seeks to attract new investments, aiming to concentrate all steps related to wind energy production and other renewable sources in the state.
The secretary revealed another excellent piece of news for the state of Ceará and stated that the first assembly line for solar panels and plants for solar energy production will be set up in the state.
The company responsible for the investment to be made in Pecém, as well as when it will start being implemented, should be revealed by Governor Camilo Santana “in the coming days,” according to Maia. “With this and green hydrogen, we will complete the cycle, providing Ceará, through this hub, a very important future wealth,” the secretary adds.
