Ceará will gain another Aeris Energy factory, the leader in the production of blades for wind turbines, and many job openings will be created in the state

The week ends with excellent news for professionals in Ceará! The Brazilian multinational leader in the production of blades for wind turbines, Aeris Energy, plans to build its third factory in the state, says the secretary of Economic Development and Labor in Ceará, Maia Júnior.

The announcement was made by the representative of the state government in an interview with Rádio O POVO CBN, on the morning of last Wednesday, 26. According to Maia, there will be, next week, another meeting between representatives of the state of Ceará and Aeris executives to deal with the expansion of the industrial center located in Pecém.

Aeris confirmed, to the newspaper O POVO, the interest in building the new factory and stressed that the new industrial park will have 51 thousand square meters (m²). “We invested in the purchase of more land around our headquarters and went from 320 thousand m² to more than 1 million m²”, completes the note.

Coincidence or not, the interest in building the third Aeris Energy factory in Ceará comes about two weeks after the Brazilian multinational announced a net profit of R$ 24 million in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 38,8% in relation to same period of 2020.

Aeris Energy stressed that it was “well positioned to meet the growing demand for wind energy in the global energy transition process”, revealing interest in expanding its production. In addition, the company intends to inaugurate in the next quarter, a new distribution center in Caucaia, with 35 thousand square meters, .

Maia also details that Aeris, alongside the Danish Vestas, is part of the basis of a new economy in Ceará, with a focus on sustainable practices and extensive technological investment. “Vestas is the world's largest producer of wind turbines and 15% of its total revenue comes from Ceará”, he points out.

Faced with the presence of investments from global leading multinational producers in the manufacture of wind turbines and blades, Ceará seeks to attract new investments, in the initiative to concentrate in the state all stages related to the production of wind energy and other renewable sources.

The secretary revealed another excellent piece of news for the state of Ceará, and said that the first assembly line for panels and photovoltaic plants for the production of solar energy will be installed in the state.

The company responsible for the investment that will be applied in Pecém, as well as when it will begin to be implemented, should be revealed by the governor of Camilo Santana, “in the next few days”, according to Maia. “With that and with green hydrogen, we close the cycle, providing Ceará, through this hub, a very important future wealth”, complements the secretary.
